Whatever I feel like adding.
Part lensography, part biography and part, well I'm not sure.

This is my homepage which connects all of my lenses together. I share with you some of the people, and places, and things that I love.

New lenses are added every so often so make sure to come back. ;)

I'm a SquidAngel and in the Giant Squid 100 Club

I'm also a Giant Squid Greeter alum

I was one of the first Giant Squids! That title was given to lensmasters who had 50+ quality lenses by 9.4.07. They are now chosen every three months. You could be one of the next giants. :)

On August 13, 2008 I was recruited for Squidoo's first team of Giant Squid Greeters. Greeters keep an eye out for up and coming lensmasters who have great potential to reach Giant Status. I held the position for 6 months and am now an alum.

If you'd like more info on becoming a giant you can check out THE GIANT SQUIDS (and how you can become one).

I was also on Squidoo's first team of SquidAngels which began April 30th 2007. I was on duty a second time in the Fall of '08, and got my wings back again on April 5, 2009.

Angels are here to help good, content filled lenses rise to the top, and to knock out the spammy ones. If your lens gets blessed, you'll see a small LensRank boost. If it gets dinged, you'll notice a small drop in LensRank.

If you have a lens you would like to be looked at by the angels head over to the Angels Forum or SquidAngels Headquarters.

On October 7, 2008, I made it into the Giant Squids 100 Club!
That's for Giants who have at least 100 great lenses and is currently the highest ranking on Squidoo. :)

She works hard for the money

(hey now)

When I was a munchkin I used to make things and walk around the neighborhood trying to sell them. I remember painting pinecones, calling them Christmas Ornaments and going door to door.

In middle school I used to buy gum in bulk and sell it to classmates. I made a killing till I had a competitor and the teachers made us both stop selling LOL

Also while a youngin' I would go to bridge games with my dad and would be paid to caddy (no one ever knows what I'm talking about here so don't feel bad)

My mom used to do flea markets and she would give me a table to sell my things. I think I did better than her. HA

My first real job was at Boston Chicken (now called Boston Market) when I was 16. That didn't last long. Then I didn't work again till college.

During college I worked on our Campus Entertainment Network's stage crew. That was THE best job. I got paid to go to all of the concerts, comedians, and dances we had. Loved my boss and the guys I worked with and had a blast.

Intern for an Engineering firm in upstate New York

Intern for an Architect in upstate New York

Intern for a studio professor in Rhode Island

Full time Designer/Draftsman at a small firm in Massachusetts (till becoming a mommy)

Part time Architectural Consultant in a smaller firm, then for an Architect, and my husband and I currently do consulting together for various residential projects

I work very part time in our family's sheet metal shop taking care of accounts payable/receivable

I work on my CafePress and Zazzle shops

And I'm a Squid :D

Gilmore Girls - The Complete First Six Seasons

Welcome to quaint Stars Hollow, Connecticut. People often mistake Independence Inn's manager, headstrong single mom Lorelai Gilmore, and her equally willful teenage daughter, Rory, for sisters. My goal is to make the 100 Club one of these days, but I'm still working on the 80 I have, no hurry I guess. You have a lot of interests and passions, and are a great service to the Squidoo community. I know I have learned a lot from you in the time that I have been a member and I thank you for that. Blessed by an angel!
Best wishes in all that you do!

I thought I was the only one that bought candy in bulk in Middle School and sold it to their classmastes!! I got a kick out of reading that. I used to make a killing on the Jolly Ranchers. :) You know what they say, great minds think alike.

    Hi, Christene!

My name isn't Christene, but it's often mispronounced as Karen; so it's equally masculine, I suppose (I trust you to get the sarcasm in that remark).

I thought I'd leave a note: I like this "you" blog of yours; I need to create one of my own. I'm very new to the site, so if you ever feel like giving me any advice, I'm certain my virgin lenses could use the touch of experience.

    Take care!

    Christene,
Thanks for the encouragement you gave me on the "New? Introduce Yourself" forum. I am not only new to Squidoo but also to cyberspace. I am a retired English teacher, and I do not like to put anything out there until it is the way I want it. But I know you are right, so tomorrow I will publish my lens as you suggested.
    Yours,
    Misterioso

Fascinating! I'm trying for 50 by the end of September and am already getting confused by the lenses I've put up, so I'm researching lensographies. This is a lovely one. Quite overwhelming! Good work.

Wow, what a lens? Quite the variety I must say...just amazing how you put this all together. Gives a pretty idea of who Christene is! It was a really nice experience to go over this lens. Congratulations on all your accomplishments at Squidoo and outside! I'll definitely have to come back and check your other lenses. I've joined your fan club for now and of course 5*s on this one!

I noticed that you have done some animal and nature lenses. If you have time, I would love for you to come and check out my lens about my kitties! I don't know if it deserves a blessing, but it sure will make you smile and laugh! http://www.squidoo.com/loveforpets

By the way...The Indigo Girls album, Rites of Passage was my absolute soundtrack when I was 13 and 14. Whenever I listen to it I always think of my best friend from that time period, and it makes me feel great!

I've visited your lensography a long time ago. It was fun to look at again. Found some fun name sites to explore. Thanks for blessing my own lensography. That was so kind. It's SO long now with my 98 lenses! I'm trying hard to make Giant 100 this time around.

Like many here, I'm standing in line to thank you for the Angel blessing! It was a great boost and I really appreciate it. You are truly an angel, as are the others, and I'm glad the powers that be at Squidoo came up with this concept!
