I appreciate many musicians and actors, but I particularly enjoy those who try to live by Biblical, family-friendly values. These are some of my favorite Christian Celebrities because of their talent, impact on popular culture and message. Be sure and click on the links in each section, because they go to full-length articles. I have included a line or two so you can see what each link is about!

I will be adding more Christian celebrities to this lens as well as more info on the celebrities already listed, so check back occasionally to see what's new!

Amy Lee Grant (born November 25, 1960) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, author, media personality and occasional actress, best known for her Gospel and Contemporary Christian music.

Grant made her debut as a teenager, and gained fame in Contemporary Christian music during the 1980s with such hits as "Father's Eyes," "El Shaddai," and "Angels." During the late 1980s and 1990s she become one of the first gospel artists to cross over into mainstream pop, on the heels of her successful albums Unguarded and Heart in Motion, the latter of which included the number-one single "Baby Baby."

As of 2009, Grant remains the best-selling Contemporary Christian music singer, having sold over 30 million units worldwide. Grant has won six Grammy Awards, 25 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, and had the first Christian album ever to go, "Platinum." Heart in Motion is her highest selling album, with over five million copies sold. She was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005.

John Richard Schneider (born April 8, 1960) is an American actor and singer. He is best known for his portrayal of Bo Duke in the 1980s American television series The Dukes of Hazzard, along with Tom Wopat, and as Jonathan Kent on Smallville, a 2001 television adaptation of Superman.

Alongside his acting career, Schneider performed as a country music singer in the 1980s, releasing nine studio albums and a greatest hits package, as well as eighteen singles. This total includes "I've Been Around Enough to Know", "Country Girls", "What's a Memory Like You (Doing in a Love Like This)" and "You're the Last Thing I Needed Tonight", all of which reached the top of the Billboard country singles charts.

Pianist, Composer, Radio Host and Author

John Tesh is a popular pianist, composer of pop and contemporary Christian music, author, and radio host. He got his television start doing news in several cities including Nashville, Tennessee in the 1970s as a news anchor and reporter at WSM-TV. He rose to fame as the host of the television program Entertainment Tonight. Today John Tesh is host of the nationally syndicated radio program the "John Tesh Radio Show."

He has previously worked as a sportscaster for the Olympic Games, news anchor and reporter. Tesh has won 6 music Emmys, has 4 gold albums, 2 Grammy nominations and an Associated Press award for investigative journalism. His live concerts have raised more than $20 million for PBS.
