The Grinch
The Grinch is one of those Christmas films which will be adored for ever!
The Grinch is a cartoon character created by Dr. Seuss. He first appeared in the 1957 children's book, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!. This was followed in 1966 by a popular television special also titled How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's MGM Animation/Visual Arts studio, and directed by Chuck Jones.
In 1977, Seuss responded to the fan request for more Grinch tales by writing Halloween Is Grinch Night, a Halloween special that aired on CBS. Like its predecessor, the sequel was recognized at the Emmy awards. In 1982, Marvel green-lit The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat, which was also produced by Dr. Seuss, under his real name, Ted Geisel. This third special garnered two Emmy awards.
The Grinch is considered a Christmas standard, and parodied/featured outside the Dr. Seuss brand frequently around the holiday season. The character is referenced by the media often in instances where a holiday display is ruined by vandals, or holiday burglaries are committed. Outside Christmas, the term "Grinch" is synonymous with "grouch" or "Burkey", as in someone that shows great disdain for something wholesome.

Muppet Christmas Carol - Scrooge
Here are the lyrics: When a cold wind blows it chills you, Chills you to the bone. But there's nothing in nature that freezes your heart like years of being alone. It paints you with indifference like a lady paints with rouge. And the worst of the worst, The most hated and cursed, Is the one that we call Scrooge. Unkind as any, and the wrath of many, This is that Ebenezer Scrooge. Oh, there goes Mr. Humbug, there goes Mr. Grim. If they gave a prize for bein mean the winner would be him. Oh, Scroogey loves his money cause he thinks it gives him power, If he became a flavor you can bet he would be sour. Yuck, Even the vegetables don't like him. There goes Mr. Skin flint, There goes Mr. Greed. The undisputed master of the underhanded deed. He charges folks a fortune for his dark and drafty houses. Us small folk live in misery, It's even worse for mouses. Please, sir, I want some cheese. He must be so lonley, He must be so sad. He goes to extremes to convince us he's bad. He's really a victim of fear and of pride. Look close and there must be a sweet man insid Naaaah! Uh Uh. There goes Mr. Outrage, there goes Mr. Sneer. He has no time for friends or fun, His anger makes that clear Don't ask him for a favor cause his nastiness increases. No crust of bread for those in need, No cheeses for us meeses. Scrooge liked the cold. He was hard and sharp as a flint. Secretive, self contained. As solitary as an oyster. There goes Mr. Heartless, there goes Mr. Cruel. He never gives, he only takes, He lets this hunger rule. If bein mean's a way of life, You practice and rehearse. And all that work is paying off, Cause Scrooge is getting worse. Every day, in every way, Scrooge is getting worse.

Christmas Vacation
Okay, I admit it, I watch Christmas Vacation multiple times every year. In my opinion this is one of Chevy Chase's funniest roles ever.
'''National Lampoons Christmas Vacation''' is a 1989 Christmas comedy film directed by Jeremiah S. Chechik. It is the third installment in National Lampoons Vacation film series. The title song of the same name was written for the movie by the husband-wife song writing team of Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, performed by Mavis Staples.
Since its release in 1989, Christmas Vacation has been ranked on many top 10 favorite Christmas film lists and is considered a modern holiday classic.http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,832658,00.htmlhttp://www.film.com/features/story/top-ten-holiday-movies/12565629http://humor.about.com/od/moviecommentary/tp/xmas_movies.htmhttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/12/03/funniest-christmas-movies_n_378863.html

The Polar Express Wiki
The Polar Express (also known as The Polar Express in 3D) is a 2004 computer-animated feature film based on the children's book of the same title by Chris Van Allsburg.
Written, produced, and directed by Robert Zemeckis, the human characters in the film were "animated" using "live action" performance capture technique, with the exception of the waiters who dispense hot chocolate on the train, because their feats were impossible for real-life actors to achieve. Performance capture technology incorporates the movements of live actors into animated characters. It stars actor Tom Hanks in five distinct roles, including the role of Santa Claus. The film was produced by Castle Rock Entertainment in association with Shangri-La Entertainment, ImageMovers, Playtone and Golden Mean, for Warner Bros. The visual effects and performance capture was done at Sony Pictures Imageworks. The studio first released the $170 million film in both conventional and IMAX 3D theaters on Wednesday, November 10, 2004. It was the last film in which Michael Jeter made a contribution as he had died on March 31, 2003, and the film is dedicated to his memory.

Classic Christmas Movies That Are Loved by Many
By Tiffany Dow
Classic Christmas movies are those that beg to be watched each and every year at Christmas time. We see ourselves in these movies as we share tears and laughter. The list of classic Christmas movies is very subjective but some on the list are without question the best of the best.
For those who have a hard time believing in Christmas and Santa Claus, Miracle on 34th Street restores our faith. The original version was filmed in 1946 with Edmund Gwinn as Kris Kringle who's placed in a mental institution for believing he's Santa Claus. You might believe it too before the movie is over.
We remember George Bailey (Jimmy Stewart) in It's a Wonderful Life, also made in 1946. George lost $8,000 and was about to take his own life when Clarence, his guardian angel, gave him a chance to see how the world would be if he'd never lived. Surely, you've wondered this too.
On a musical note, there's White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye who help an old friend who has fallen on hard times. Christmas movies inspire the spirit of the season and provide us with many wonderful songs.
These movies belong to all ages and the list could be endless. The word classic is defined as "serving as a standard of excellence." Classic Christmas movies certainly meet this standard.
Not all Christmas movies would fall under the heading of classic. Some of the most entertaining holiday movies could be considered modern day. Christmas time means movie time for most of us and there are certain movies we must watch, some old and some new.
Home Alone is a feel good Christmas movie from 1990 with Macaulay Culkin who gets left behind on a family trip and spends the day fending off burglars who try to break into his home. Cartoon violence is high but it's hard to take seriously.
Animated movies are always enjoyable for Christmas as is Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas filmed in 1993. Jack the Pumpkin King gets bored with Halloween and decides to take over Christmas from Santa Claus. Jack makes the appointed rounds himself delivering less than desirable toys to less than happy kids. He realizes his mistake and is happy to return to what he does best. A good lesson for us all.
A Christmas Story goes back to 1984 but teaches us that sometimes mom is right. Ralphie gets a BB gun for Christmas and despite his mother's warnings to be careful he almost loses an eye. Most of us have been there and done that.
Christmas movies, whether new or old, usually teach us a valuable lesson and encourage us to love ourselves and others in this season of sharing. Visit http://www.PlanYourChristmas.com to see which holiday Christmas movies are favorites for everyone!
