Christmas is coming, let's go shopping!

It is time of the year to do some Christmas planning and shopping for your love ones. If you have run out of ideas what to give to your love ones as Christmas gifts, we do have some suggestion. Actually, we have a big list of suggestions for your everyone in your life - from your mom, dad, to your girlfriends and sister, to the men of your life, kids, pets and your colleagues.
Do not start your online Christmas shopping too late. Your Christmas presents might not arrive on time. The crowds at the malls will be crazy. Start your shopping one month ahead so that you can change your mind if you cannot find something.

One month before Christmas...

Make a Christmas Gift List

List down all the people names that you are going to buy presents for. Write down gifts ideas on what you are going to get them or what they have hinted or like. You may want to jot down more than 1 gifts ideas for a particular person so that in case you cannot get what you have in mind, you can always grab the 2nd choice on your list without brain storming.

Plan Your Christmas Shopping Trips

After you have prepare your Christmas shopping list, you may want to categories them into different places you shop for them. Plan a weekend when you are free to hunt your gifts at a particular shopping center or sit down in front of your laptop to shop online. If you are planning to shop online, make sure that you shop early. Online deliveries may slow down due to the amount of parcels online shops have to handle.

If you are planning to hand make your Christmas gifts, get the material now. Do remember to buy enough wrapping paper, gift boxes and ribbons so that you will not be screaming on Christmas eve. (That happened to me last Christmas)

Prepare Your Christmas Card List

when you cannot find any Christmas gifts.

Write down a list of names of the people you will like to send a Christmas greeting cards to. You may want to send a Christmas card to someone who sent you a card last Christmas, or someone you do not have a gift for, someone living aboard or close work or social acquaintances. Make sure you have your friends and relatives correct mailing address as they might have shifted their home this year.

Add Christmas cards to your Christmas gift list. Do buy some spare Christmas cards just in case you receive cards unexpectedly or you cannot find that big brown jacket that your aunties wanted. If you intend to buy your Christmas cards online, get them as early as possible.

Christmas Decorations

Remember to include your Christmas decorations in your shopping trips. Before you do that, you may want to bring out all your past year Christmas decorations, check which are the ornaments and lights that needs to be replace or throw out.

You may need to plan your this year Christmas theme and how you want to decorate your place. Will you be using your past year Christmas decorations in order to save some money, or are you going with a brand new look this year?

Jot down all the decorations you need in your shopping list before you head the departmental stores.

Cleaning Up Your House

Yes, you will need to start cleaning bit by bit now so that you will not be exhausted before Christmas. If you are thinking of getting your favorite part-time housekeeper, book her now.

If you need to get your leaking toilet fix, book your plumber now.

Christmas Invitations

If you are planning to invite guests to your place, you may want to send out your invitation cards now so that they will have enough time to reply. You may have to start planning the big feast for your guests and your Christmas decoration in your party. If you are thinking of catering your party food, you will have to book them now.

Personal Grooming

So that you will look your best on Christmas

Book your hair or nail appointment now. Remember that your four legged friends might need a hair cut badly too. If you want to dress up your four legged friends in a Santa Claus suit, it will be time to do your shopping now.

Restaurant Reservations

If you are celebrating Christmas at a restaurant, it will be time to look for a nice place to eat and book your table now. Do not wait till the last minute because chances is that the restaurant will be fully booked. You will not have much choices left at the last minute.

Three Weeks Before Christmas...

Write and Send Your Christmas Cards

Write and send out your Christmas cards now. If you run out of Christmas cards, you can still purchase more at your local shopping malls. If you realize that you do not have someone mailing address, there is still time to call the person and get the address from him or her.
