Lots to be said for a man that is not heard from much!

Christopher Pike, born as Kevin McFadden in 1954 in Brooklyn NY but had grown up in California and is where he still resides. Pike is a very private man, as you can tell by his pen name.   

There are no known pictures of Christopher Pike/Kevin McFadden (a very private man) also he has had very few interviews. Even from the FEW interviews done Christopher prefers it that way. He had gotten the name Christopher pike from the original Captain from the first pilot episode of the Star Trek series. He first started out writing adult science fiction but he had been advised to try a young adult novel.

Note: This is for my daughter who shared this with me, her love for this author and her desire to collect everyone of his books published! Even now in her 20's something she stills inspires to collect this persons work.

In The Beginning... 

More about the author

He wrote his first teen fiction novel titled Slumber Party, published in 1985.

It became a huge success which had led him to write many other young adult novels including Monster, Witch, The Last Vampire series, and Fall Into Darkness which lead to a made for TV movie staring Tatiana Ali.

Pikes genre has been labeled as teen thriller but he writes a lot about science fiction, spirituality, religion, and whodunit type of books. His interests come out in his books and many people compare him to one of his characters from Master of Murder (Author, Michael Jecks) where the lead character was a writer using a pen name also. He does not deny the rumors that this character, Marvin is based on himself.

His interests include astrology, running, scuba diving, photography, and of course writing. He has starting writing a lot more adult novels including Sati, and The Seasons of Passage. Not much is know about Christopher Pike other then what he publishes in the back of his books. a little blurb about himself. He remains a mystery but many of his fans believe they can find the real Kevin Mcfadden by looking between the lines of his many wonderful books.
