CHRISTOPHER LOWELL BIOGRAPHY
Christopher Lowell is the flamboyant host of his self-titled home-decorating and design Emmy-Award Winning show, The Christopher Lowell Show. His previous show, Interior Motives with Christopher Lowell had also earned him several Emmy Nominations. He's known for his tell-it-like-it-is, no-nonsense approach to home design. He has been dubbed the "Doctor of Design" by U.S. News and World Report, has written several best-selling books on home design and organization, and he has developed his own line of furniture and accessories for the home.
Christopher Lowell, a gay-seeming interior decorator, has managed to build a huge following with his home design TV show. From the beginning, Lowell's goal was to pour on the gaiety: "We started out very over the top because we knew we needed to get the Saturday Night Lives of the world spoofing us."

Originally born Richard Lowell Madden in Anchorage, Alaska, Christopher Lowell was destined for creative greatness. Son of a professional carpenter and cinematographer father and a mother who constantly worked to make a nice home on a limited budget, Christopher was raised in an artistic and fun-loving environment. Trained as a classical pianist, Christopher left home at age 9 to join the Southern California Boys Choir where he played until the age of 17.

I've organized all my makeovers onto Color Courage pages that include:
Wall, Ceiling, Trim and Accent colors,
You can select from three fabulous finishes:
Christopher Lowell's Designer Flat Latex - especially recommended for interior walls or ceilings, either plaster or drywall.
Christopher Lowell's Designer Eggshell Latex - also recommended for interior walls or ceilings, either plaster or drywall.
Christopher Lowell's Designer Semi-gloss Latex Enamel - ideal for trim, wood surfaces or primed brick or concrete.
All finishes are latex paint that are easy to apply, durable, fade resistant and clean up quickly with soap and water.
Christopher's Color Courage Matching System is sold in some Jo-Ann Stores. Visit a store near you to inquire about availability.

Rather than simply naming the shades of The Christopher Lowell Designer Paint Collection bizarre and abstract names, all our fabulous shades are named after food. That's right, FOOD! Why? Well, after surveying people on how they remember color, we discovered they associate color with food. Think about it - Cherry Red, Tangerine, Blueberry and so on. Who knew?
So we took the concept even further. Now instead of just a lot of paint chip colors to confuse you, we've created a gourmet buffet of lip smacking possibilities to choose from.
Think of it as a mental color reference point that really makes sense.
To add even more interest, many of the shades are accompanied by words like creamed, blush, iced, steamed, broiled or braised.

- Don't buy on your first trip
Choosing paint requires two trips to the store. If you know in advance that you're not actually going to be choosing colors on your first trip, you can relax and get inspired. Stop by the store on a Monday evening after work to avoid the weekend crowd. Turn your fear into excitement and pull color swatches to which you're immediately drawn. ETC.
