All About Cinderella's Castle

Cinderella's Castle is located in Disney World, which is in Florida. There are other versions of this castle in the Disney parks but this is the one I've seen hundreds of times. This is the one that I still get a shiver up my spine when it comes into view. Getting a glimpse of the Castle is like a dream come true for me and many other people who have traveled from all over the world or right down the road to visit Walt Disney World.

I hope to tell you about this unofficial landmark in the US, the ins and outs, the rumors that are and aren't true and share how you can enjoy this beautiful piece of architecture for not only how it looks but for what it represents.

What A Mistake?

Well it was a planned mistake. The restaurant located on the second floor of the castle was originally named King Stephan's Banquet Hall. Now who is King Stephan? He is actually Sleeping Beauty's father. Since there were no "royal" names associated with the Cinderella story, Disney took the liberty to use this name.

It was officially changed to it's current name - Cinderella's Royal Table in 1997. The breakfast is one of the most difficult meals to make a priority seating because it's one of the most popular. Girls love to dress up in their princess costumes and meet the Disney Princesses while the adults take photos and eat quickly.

Eating At The Castle

You can make your priority seating (reservations) for breakfast with the princesses at Cinderella's Royal Table 189 days in advance. The phone number to call for Disney Dining is 407-WDW- DINE.

Use this PS calculator so you know exactly when you can start calling.

Be flexible in your dates and times. Remember this is the hardest PS to get in WDW. Here's some suggestions for getting these prized seats:

1. Call a few days in advance so you can get the correct numbers to punch and sequence to follow. Write this down!
2. Have as many phones available to use to make this VIP call. Make sure cell phone batteries are charged.
3. On the morning of your 180th day, call at 6:50 AM EST.
4. Keep calling even if you get a busy signal. Use all the phones you have. Redial, redial.
5. When you get someone on the line, say, "Cindy's Royal Breakfast", the date, number of people and "any time".

What's New in Cindy's House?

Now inside Cinderella's Castle in Walt Disney World is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. This is the place where little girls' dreams come true. A girl can have her hair, nails, makeup done and be dressed as the princess of her liking.

There is also another location in Downtown Disney Marketplace.

Yes Dear There Are Other Disney Castles...

Check out the other parks and their castles.

Tokyo Disneyland - Cinderella Castle

In Tokyo Disneyland there is a Cinderalla Castle also. It is just a bit different from the one in the Disney World in Florida. Take a look at the photo and see if you can spot the differences.

Hong Kong Disneyland - Sleeping Beauty Castle

The Sleeping Beauty Castle in Hong Kong is almost identical to the castle in Disneyland California. They share the same name. Take a look and see what's the same and then what's unique from Cinderella's Castle in Disney World and Tokyo.

Disneyland Paris Castle

In French, this castle is called Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant.
