Cindy Gerard, author of the Bodyguard Series

Cindy Gerard has been a RITA winner twice, most recently for Take No Prisoners, Book 2 of the Black Ops, Inc. series. She has also been on the New York Times best-selling list several times for her romantic suspense books. She has been a Daphne Du Maurier Finalist three times, all for her Bodyguard and Black Ops, Inc. series books. Another accomplishment is that two of her Bodyguard series, To the Edge (The Bodyguards, Book 1) and Over the Line (The Bodyguards, Book 4), were featured as Cosmo's Red Hot Reads.

I read this book (the 1st in the Bodyguards series) AFTER the 2nd book in the series. I have to say, I really love them both... and actually like this one better. This was a great suspense story involving a high-society news reporter name Jillian, a mysterious stalker, and (what else?) a BODYGUARD named Nolan. Nolan is a great character... with a gorgeous body, a bit of baggage from being in the Army Rangers, and a wonderful heart. I loved watching the animosity between Nolan and Jillian turn into sensual tension and then, of course, love. And, of course, this lug-head Nolan fights it as he feels he is not good enough for her. THIS BOOK IS A REAL PAGE TURNER!!
I also appreciate how Cindy Gerard creates a set of intriguing siblings who we can then follow into the other books in this series. The sibs, whose names start with the letters E, D, E, N (Ethan, Dallas, Eve, and Nolan) are part of a very loving family, but each is very different from the others. I can't wait to read more in this series!!

I always forget how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Cindy Gerarad's books until I read her latest! Then I am reminded yet again of how awesome of a romantic suspense writer she is! Feel The Heat is her best yet. I especially loved that there were TWO romances in this book, both very sweet and believable. And the plot was incredible too--there was not one slow moment. I finished this one in one day! Do we really have to wait until June 2010 for her next one?
