This hobby is the closest thing to a time machine that exists today. Reenactors attempt to bring the past to back to life by trying as closely as possible to live and dress as a civilian or soldier in the U.S. during 1861-1865 would have. If you are interested in learning more about this fascinating and educational hobby, please look over this page and then find a reenacting group located near you.
