Why this hobby is for you!

Are you deeply interested in the Civil War? Do you want to experience what it was like to live during those times? Do you want to smell the acrid smell of black powder and hear the deafening thunder of cannons? You want to be an American Civil War reenactor!

This hobby is the closest thing to a time machine that exists today. Reenactors attempt to bring the past to back to life by trying as closely as possible to live and dress as a civilian or soldier in the U.S. during 1861-1865 would have. If you are interested in learning more about this fascinating and educational hobby, please look over this page and then find a reenacting group located near you. There are groups of likeminded people all over the U.S. that would be happy to have you join the ranks.
