Classics Illustrated Comics have introduced generations to the world of literature. They include fairly high-quality art, and are reasonably true to their original source material. Some would say they were early versions of the ill-defined graphic novel genre
Classics Illustrated Junior began later to introduce a younger audience to favorite fairy tales and legends.

Collectible?
Collector interest in Classics Illustrated rises and falls as it does in any market of extrinsic value, but I would not clean out the attic without checking some price guides first.

You can get some great deals at eBay if you're patient. Beware of "auction fever" and read the fine print. A seller's "real" price is often built-in using high shipping costs.
