Clean Windows System Tutorial

The first step to a clean windows system Is to take a look at your installed programs.

Chances are you don't use or even know what half of them do.

Most programs install preloaders that run at start up increasing boot time.

So what you do is go to the start menu click run and type msconfig.
Click on the startup tab and uncheck any programs that aren't needed (if you don't know what a program is is then leave it checked for now and do a Google search later to see if it's needed)

Next see what you have, you can see what programs are installed by simply opening the start menu and clicking on all programs. If you don't know what a certain program is you probably shouldn't have it. But if you want to make sure you don't need a program open it, see what it does.

Now open the control panel from the start menu and click on add/remove programs, find the programs you don't want and click on the change/remove button.
now just follow the prompts.

I can't tell you how to uninstall each program because they are all different, but the instructions provided are usually very simple.

Repeat for all unneeded programs.

You most likely just cleaned several gigs of useless junk from your windows system.

If only cleaning the house were this easy.

Yes, I know they're hard to part with, but do you really need all of those pictures you saved from your friends' profile? They're online; you can see them whenever you want. And what about the Wordpad documents you've been saving just in case?

Analyze your personal file's and delete the ones you don't need any more.

Or if you really don't want to part with it, burn this information to disc and keep it forever

Just about everything you do leaves some type of temporary file. (even
cleaning your windows system)

When you open a window in your browser all the content from that page is saved to your pc taking up space and adding registry entries (which we will get to later), there are logs for your recent programs,scans you have done and most everything else you or your windows system does.

We need to get rid of this clutter, .I personally use Registry Easy to clean these files from my windows system.
You could use windows disk cleaner in the system tools folder but I don't recommend it,(it doesn't Clean very much)

Open Registry Easy click the junk files cleaner.

Select your drive (usually c:) and hit next.

When its all done Just hit next,next and next.

Then go to the evidence cleaner and do the same.

I am not going to spend a lot of time explaining the registry, we could be here all night, I'll make another lens for that.

But basically it stores information on every single program or file on your computer, and is required by every program to run.
So obviously maintaining the registry is critical to keeping a clean windows system.

Most people mistake registry problems for viruses and other malware but the fact is if your windows system is slow it's more likely to be caused by the registry

Don't believe me lets clean yours, I bet you see a dramatic increase in speed and stability.

Open up registry easy and click on registry cleaner.

Leave everything checked and hit scan now.

When it is done click repair.

It will automatically make a backup but I have yet to restore one, its just a precaution.

Now your going to see some speed increase, Click finish and run it again.
Your going to this several times until you get no errors, each time it gets faster.
You are now the proud owner of a clean windows system

Man its a good thing you found me.

Okay you could use the disk defragmenter that comes with windows, but my defrag does a much better job.

Go to their site and download the program.
(Don't worry its free)

Run the installer, when its done click the icon on your desktop.
There are several different modes but they are pretty self explanatory.

Not only does mydefrag defragment but also completely optimizes your drive by splitting it into zones and by moving all your files to the front of the drive increasing your hard disc's performance buy up to 150%.
Its completely automatic.

Your getting good at this.
