Which is the Best Cat Litter for Your Kitty?

Are you still searching for that perfect cat litter for your furry friend, the cat litter that is inexpensive, controls odors and is just the best clumping cat litter out there?

Yeah.. me too. I've yet to find the perfect one (sigh).

I am the proud mommy to 4 little fur babies and I have to say it's sometimes a challenge to find litter that myself and my cats are happy with!

Best Clumping Kitty Litter

I really do love Fresh Step and I'll tell you why: It really controls odors very, very well. I'm pretty good about cleaning the litter box. I really have to be with 4 cats right?



Even when I've been away all day and haven't scooped my boxes out.. this litter really controls odors well. The clumps are pretty solid and don't crumble upon scooping which helps A LOT.

A big pet peeve of mine is to scoop the box and the clumps fall apart creating an even bigger mess. This is NOT so with Fresh Step.

What I don't Like




One of the only things I can say is that I don't like the dust. It's not extremely dusty, but with all clays it is definitely there.

However, I think I'll take a little dust over a stinky home any day.

Fresh Results Cat Litter

A Natural Kitty Litter

I tried Fresh Results a few years ago. You can purchase this at Walmart or larger chain stores. I've read that Fresh Results is the same product as Nature's Miracle.

I'm not sure if this is true, however, it's worth noting that they are made by the same manufacturer: Eight in One Pet Products company. Nature's Miracle is sold in Pet Stores and Fresh Results in Walmarts.

Anyhow, I haven't used Fresh Results in a while but I WILL be heading back to this litter because I really remember it working very well and controlling odors without the DUST.


In addition, Fresh Results is also biodegradable! I'm recycling more and trying to do my part so I think this would help my household be a little more earth friendly.


Remember that clays do not biodegrade.

Tidy Cats Clumping Cat Litter

I also love Tidy Cats.


It's number three on my list because whenever I go to Walmart, I can never find it in larger pails (the clumping type). There are plenty of non clumping Tidy Cats but I don't care for non clumping litter.


It's a bit dusty as well but it still is a top favorite and great odor control.

    We use the Breeze Litter System. It works great for our cats. We have two cats named Dinero and Onyx. We got them both as kittens from a cat rescue center and they took to the Breeze system pretty quickly after we brought them home.
