in reply to whitechristmas Hi! Off the top of my head, I'm not sure which book you're thinking of. The absolute best female historian is Doris Kearns Goodwin who has been on the Colbert Report a couple of times. But her books don't have pink book jackets.

I went back through my lenses (I have 3 - 2006, 2007 and 2008). There are a couple w/ pink dust jackets but most of them arent' actually written by a woman.

Do you have any more info? Modern history and politics? Or where she was from? There is Ariel Levy's Female Chauvinist Pigs and the Rise of Raunch Culture - listed on here http://www.squidoo.com/colbert-report-book-list-archive in October or Naomi Wolf's "Letters to a Young Patriot" listed here http://www.squidoo.com/colbert-report-book-list-2007 during Sept?

If you have any more info, let me know! Good luck!!

whitechristmas

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me. My boyfriend and I were watching either the Colbert Report or the Daily show and there was this woman one the show to discuss her new book, but for the life of me I cannot find it anywhere. I remember very little about the book, it had a pink dust cover, it was a about politics/history and obviously written by a woman. I think it was during the writers strike, but i honestly can't remember when we watched this episode, but he really wants this books and I want to get it for him for christmas. If you could help direct me to find this book, that would be awesome!
Thank You!!
