Who is Comedian Carrot Top

Carrot Top has a very silly yet very spontaneous humor that always makes you wonder what he'll do next. You never know what to expect from Carrot Top. His style of comedy is very unique with the use of props in his act, which reminds me of the old Vaudville style acts of the past. Although I did not personally live during the Vaudville era, I have caught a lot of it from black and white films and from recounts of my parents.

One sketch that I will always remember being so simple yet so hilarious to me, was his version of a single girl's favorite cookbook -- from his famous trunk he pulled out the classic red-and white-checkered Betty Crocker's cookbook, but when he opened it there was the restaurant section from the Yellow Pages telephone book.

Carrot Top's humor is very simple, straight forward and very instantaneous. There is so much talent, creativity and originality in his comedy act every single time. I've never been disappointed and he remains one of my favorite comedians. Most recently he is known for his dramatic muscle gain and facial change.

Scott Thompson (born February 25, 1965), better known by his stage name Carrot Top, is an American comedian known for his bright red hair, prop comedy and often self-deprecating humor. Thompson was born and reared in Cocoa, Florida where his father, Lawrence Thompson, was a scientist at one of NASA's private contractors during the Gemini and Apollo eras. Thompson also lived in nearby Orlando during part of his youth. In 1983, he graduated from Cocoa High School, and enrolled later that year at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. While still a freshman at Florida Atlantic, Thompson appeared in his first stand-up comedy routine. Two months later, he performed on campus at an open-mic night.
