Comic Books are my life!

Ranked #12,481 in Books, Poetry & Writing, #456,184 overall

Picture Taken With Flash On!

I just LOVE to talk about comic books! I've been reading and collecting comics since I was 5 years old and since then I've never looked back, (I'm forty one now). I now have over twenty thousand comics and hope some day to have a world class collection for the world to share with me.

I really like superheroes, my favourite is Batman and then Spiderman, Batman is in DC Comics (Detective Comics) and Spiderman is Marvel (Marvel Comics)...Shouldn't that be MC then?? You'll have to ask his creator Stan Lee that.

I also love any funny books like Bugs Bunny and Walt Disney. Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge are two more of my favourites (there are soo many favourites) but I'll read practically ANY old comic book.

My next big thing with comic books is that my wife and I are going to open an online, e-commerce, vintage comic book store in the next few years. I can't wait! To be able to work and play with comics for my actual career is just perfect for me!

UPDATE:

I just started a new website http://www.youcollectweconnect.com

I'm helping people look for whatever it is they collect or need. Please take a look and tell your friends about it.

And another website http://www.garagesalewinnipeg.com selling new, used, collectibles, antiques and hard to find items!

Thanks everyone!

Batman

The Man behind the mask.

The Bat Laptop Computer.Wealthy, industrialist, playboy Bruce Wayne is the man and the boy behind the mask. As a boy his parents Martha and Thomas Wayne were brutally murdered in front of him in a cold, dark alley in Gotham City.

Swearing to avenge their deaths, the young boy became expert in laws and crime. Trained with professionals in all fields all over the world he painstakingly gave up any chance he had at a normal life for the physical and mental training he would need to survive and thrive in his career.

His immense wealth left to him by his parents enabled him to purchase the equipment he would use in his everyday life to fight crimes and injustices any where in Gotham and beyond.

Working by himself he is a formidable opponent, working with others like Superman or the Justice League he is pretty much unstoppable!

Batman needs help??

Some Teams Bats has been on.

Sometimes Batman Needs A Hand!Batman has always been a loner but at the same time he has occassionaly worked with others as a team.

Some of these teams were as follows:

The Justice league of America.
The Jusice Society of America.
The Outsiders.
The Superfriends.

Overstreet Comic Book Price Guides.

These items are known as the "Bible" of the comic book industry. Robert M. Overstreet is the creator of the best known and used comic book price guide. While its prices are not set in stone they are regarded as the most current and accurate "GUIDE" meaning that it may not reflect what the market currently reflects but it is a good starting point to go from. It comes out once a year and has over 1100 pages of very valuable and useful comic book information from most of the top comic book dealers and collectors of our time. I highly recommend it to the beginner and to the advanced comic collector!

The final panel of 'Amazing Spider-Man' #685 had to be one of the most shocking I've seen in a while. Spider-Man, Black Widow, and Silver Sable had been battling Doctor Octopus' minions only to discover that they were too late.

Comic Book Review: 'Youngblood' #71
In honor of Image's 20th Anniversary, creator Rob Liefeld returns to both the company and the comic that launched it. 'Youngblood' sold millions when it first debuted, but quickly faltered with too many spin-offs and long delays in publishing.

    Hey Practice_Drills_Coach,

I know exactly what you mean. I am a huge fanboy. Was largely into Spider-man and Marvel but have drifted back to DC as a whole. I could with forever on this, but I am going to force myself to quit now...Ciao

Welcome to Squidoo! This is where I spend most of my time (and where I make most of my income, due to how much time I spend here! LOL!) My mom and the 3 J's are all members on here too (Tiddledeewinks, Johnny_5_Allen, Juice-Allen, and FlashAllen are their id names) I'll let them know you are here.

I started out to create comic book lenses and than just went bonkers with lenses about everything under the sun instead (my first lenses were about Scrooge of course =P). Cool Flash costume! I'm in the process of making my Lord Sesshomaru costume still, I'm planning on 5 years before it's finished, cause I went to nutty with historical accuracy on it (first costume I ever did that with, usually I just throw one together in a week.)

I ran out of space. Typical of me. Say hi to Stacey and Rustan for me!

Overstreet grading guide.

As some of you may or may not have heard, the Robert M. Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide was rumoured to be in it's final stages. Like a lot of information on the internet these rumours seem to have been laid to rest.

According to the recent scuttlebutt from the internet rumours, we are now to believe that the Overstreet guide will be around for a long time to come..."phew"...I'm really happy to hear that because I always look forward to reading it and would miss it greatly if it was ever to go away.
