Let me address the younger readers at this time. If you assume that most people do have some common sense, it is logical to expect that they will learn from their mistakes. By that assumption, they will have acquired some wisdom by the time they are 40. They would have made the same mistakes and learned the harsh lessons of life. So, I appeal to you young readers. Give them the benefit of doubt. Listen to what they advise. They do have something worthwhile to say.
A famous politician once said - If you're not a Liberal in your 20's, you have no heart. If you're not a Conservative in your 40's, you have no brain.
Let me share with you just a few ideas that I have personally experienced a dramatic change over time.
1. Political transformation - Liberal to Conservatism
2. Choosing a mate - good heart is more important than just good looks
3. fashion style and taste in music - pop to classical
4. religion awakening - faith is a personal relationship with God. It cannot be forced.
5. personal finances - consumption to simplicity
6. reliance on new technology - technology cannot solve human problems
7. you can't fool mother nature -
8. importance of family - people you can always count on.
Life is a constant growing and learning process. I reserve the right to add to this list.
