2010 NFL Mock Draft | KD Consensus - 4/19

Ranked #9,368 in Sports & Recreation, #235,996 overall

Its a Consensus Mock Draft

KDraftonline aka KDraft Headquarters has brought you a consensus mock draft. We will compile all the information we can off of as many websites as we can (only the ones we find to be worthy) and will put together a "consensus" 2010 NFL Mock Draft. It is unlike anything we have done before... and we plan on updating this site at the beginning of each week. There may be minor adjustments to the consensus mock draft over the course of the week but only one major update a week. We hope you enjoy another view of how the NFL Draft could pan out in April.

THERE IS NOW A 2nd Round: Follow the links

If you have anything you want us to cover... have questions about our mocking process or just something you would like to share with us. Please either comment on the page below or Send us an email. At times we have large volumes of email's coming in, but we will do our best to respond to each and every email we receive. Enjoy

the niners will not draft cj spiller at #13 because they have a bigger need. if a tackle is there. if anthony davis, trent williams or bruce campbell but do not rule out a trade and draft a player later, but use the #17 pick on a bryan bulaga. but if everything stays same, i see anhony david or trent williams at #13 and #17 earl thomas.

I agree that they have a bigger need at tackle, and at CB, and several other positions... however the value of Spiller can not be understated at #13. He would fill a huge position of need for the 49ers... KR. Not only that but Frank Gore is not an ideal back for a Spread offense (which the 49ers ran for the 2nd half of the season). Spiller could help add some versatility to the RB position and an explosive threat to their run game and return game.

Ideally the 49ers would have Joe Haden fall to them at 13 and then take the best OT prospect at 16/17. Although with no Haden there at 13 they need to consider the 2 players they want and which one they believe will fall to them at their next pick. In this case I say they want Spiller and Bulaga. With the Seahawks taking Bradford there is a likelihood of them taking either player... however in the mock they end up taking Derrick Morgan.

but which position is taken at 13 or 16/17 doesn't ride on the 49ers needs. it relies on the two players they want and which one is the least likely to be picked by Seattle, New York, and possibly Tennessee. The 49ers will not draft purely for need, I guarantee you that... they will draft a player which is high on their board and is still available... see 2009 - Crabtree... Rumor was they wanted Michael Oher... but when Crabtree fell into their lap... he was one of the highest players on their board and there was no way they could pass up that value. What I am saying is... Spiller is that kind of talent and the 49ers couldn't pass up on that opportunity. No it is not their #1 need. But he does fill positions of need for their team.

I agree that OT is their biggest need. My perfect draft would be to get (S) Thomas at #13, one of the tackles (Bulaga is the best fit) at #17. In the second round pick up Dexter McCluster or WR Mardy Gillard. This would help the WR/HB/KR addition that Spiller would give them and not have to use up a first round pick on a "help" pick rather than a need.

Hello, I think that given we need a true RT, I believe the OT we select in the first will be Trent Williams, stick him in from day one. As much as I want Spiller, I am now leaning more toward Iupati, a true Pro Bowl caliber OG. Don't be surprised if we go two OLs in the first!

Safety Rankings

2010 NFL Prospects

Safety has likely the 3 best prospects its had in a long time. The top 3 prospects in the 2010 NFL draft are all 1st round material... and they all have the potential to start day one and make an impact. 2 of them are rangy playmaking safeties, and one is a protoype physical linebacker, with cornerback like speed. He is a physical specimen. His name is Taylor Mays. With all that talent... yet he is still the 3rd best safety in the 2010 draft class.

Buccaneers?
Chiefs? Browns?

1. Eric Berry - Tennessee
2. Earl Thomas - Texas
3. Taylor Mays - USC
4. Chad Jones - LSU
5. Morgan Burnett - Georgia Tech

With C.J. Spiller's Speed... this is the only thing defenders see of him
