The Little Charter School That Could

A terrific middle school in Long Beach, California

About Us

Where The Stars Shine!

We are a charter school for 6th, 7th and 8th graders in downtown Long Beach. Bookmark this space as we will have more information about our programs and our kids, as well as details of our new home which is now under construction. That building will be completed by early 2009.

Also, we hope to be approved soon as a non-profit charity by Squidoo so we can accept donations.

So, come back and learn what's so special about Constellation - Where the Stars Shine!

Oh, and check out our official school website.

Recruitment Efforts Never End

We need more kids!

We've recently been approved to double our enrollment (that's one benefit of our new space - we can handle more kids). But... the new facility won't be open till early next year. So we have a challenge getting new kids without our new home.

Would you please print and pass out a flyer to anyone you think may want their kids to receive a quality education, especially if they're not satisfied with the education their kids are now getting or the environment they're in? Links are located below for both English and Spanish versions.

Constellation is a safe, small school with very good teacher-student ratios, in fact better than most private schools. Kids will receive much more personal attention as a result. This helps them to thrive like never before!

Our New Home (coming in 2009)

We've never truly had a home to call our own. Since we were established in 1995 (as the oldest charter school in Long Beach), we have always leased space for the school. Finally, we have pulled together the resources (from being thrifty with our funds, if we do say so ;-) and have started remodeling a building that was previously used for retail. It's located at 1955 Long Beach Boulevard, it is convenient to bus and train transportation, as well as within walking distance for most of our kids.

To the right is an architectural rendering of our new front elevation. Check back for accompanying photos showing our progress.
