1 Tip That Help Me Control My Asthma

There's 1 tip that i found to help a lot when trying to control my asthma, I'm sure this tip could, alone, help everyone with asthma. Would you guys like to know what it is? Its kind of obvious but everyone neglects it!

LEARN HOW TO BREATHE PROPERLY!!

I know! I know! You think this sounds sooooooooooooo simple but you will be surprise how many people get it wrong!

Ok so with this you have to learn to breathe from your diaphragm (What is this??!?!?!) and purse-lip breathe (HUH?!?!?!!!!) whenever your breathing feels laborer, tight or fast, or when you feel stressed.

- To breathe from your diaphragm, lie down or sit in front of a mirror. Put one hand on your stomach, the other on your chest. Take a deep breath through your nose. Your stomach should rise under your hand each time you breathe; your chest should not rise.

-To purse-lip breathe, close your mouth and inhale through your nose. Purse your lips as if you're going to blow out a candle. Exhale slowly with as little force as possible. Your exhale should last twice as long as your inhale. Don't hold your breath between inhalation and exhalation.

What Did I Need To Do To Control My Asthma?

Before i could control my asthma I needed to find out what asthma was. If you could define asthma what would you say about it? I can only say wheezing and inhalers! But i found a definition that hits the nail on the head.

"Asthma has been defined by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute as a common chronic disorder of the airways that is complex and characterized by variable and recurring symptoms, airflow obstruction, bronchial hyper responsiveness, and an underlying inflammation."

Then to control my asthma, i had to figure out what was the cause of it. Inhalant allergens are the most important inducer that causes asthma. The common inhaled allergens are:

* Pollen - from grass, tress and weeds
* Animal - common household pets such as cats and dogs furs
* Molds
* Household dust and mites
