Gorgeous Butterflies with Irridescent Blue Wings
I've never seen butterflies like this before Costa Rica. They are absolutely astounding! This one looked almost like a normal moth, but when it fluttered its wings there was blue iridescent light coming from inside where the wings had been folded. So amazing!
If you like butterflies and cocoons and everything surrounding this incredible insect, Costa Rica is the place to see them!

- Visit the butterfly farm and watch gorgeous butterflies emerge from even more amazing cocoons.

- Rappel from the gigantic canopy in the rain forest from tree to tree.
- Visit the shops and buy locally-made souvenirs.
- Go on a hike to the top of an active volcano.
- Hike to beautiful waterfalls that defy explanation.

Do you know what a group of crocodiles is called? The word for a group of two or more crocodiles is a "float."In Costa Rica, you can visit floats of crocodiles and feed them chickens! Talk about a feeding frenzy!
It's a lot more exciting to do this sort of thing in the wild than it is at some confined zoo. The danger is real, the animals are wild, and the excitement is worth it!

- Wow. Nice lens! I'm a fan of the tropics! (Too blasted cold here in the U.S. mainland!) I have lenses on Guam, Hawaii, the Republic of Palau (Belau), and the Philippines (among many others). I agree with your thoughts on the exotic flowers, butterflies, and what it's like to see crocodiles and other dangerous critters in the wild--I've seen them too! Definitely you've got a great lens here! I've thumbs-upped, liked, favorited, and lensrolled your masterpiece! Congrats on a great job!
