Whether you're hanging from a rope in the huge canopy of trees in the rain forest or lying on the sunny beaches, you'll be sure to want to return to this fascinating country.

Gorgeous Butterflies with Irridescent Blue Wings
I've never seen butterflies like this before Costa Rica. They are absolutely astounding! This one looked almost like a normal moth, but when it fluttered its wings there was blue iridescent light coming from inside where the wings had been folded. So amazing!
If you like butterflies and cocoons and everything surrounding this incredible insect, Costa Rica is the place to see them!

Things You Can Do in Costa Rica on One Visit
That's What I Said--One Visit!
- Feed a "float" of hungry crocodiles.
- Visit the butterfly farm and watch gorgeous butterflies emerge from even more amazing cocoons.
- Lie on the beach and sun yourself.
- Swim in the waves of the warm ocean.
- Rappel from the gigantic canopy in the rain forest from tree to tree.
- Visit the shops and buy locally-made souvenirs.
- Go on a hike to the top of an active volcano.
- Hike to beautiful waterfalls that defy explanation.
- Have some awesome freshgrown coffee!
Where to Go for Your First Stop, That's the Question!
In Costa Rica, you can visit floats of crocodiles and feed them chickens! Talk about a feeding frenzy!
It's a lot more exciting to do this sort of thing in the wild than it is at some confined zoo. The danger is real, the animals are wild, and the excitement is worth it!
Incredible Flowers That Look Like They're from Another Planet
Love Cliffhangers?
There are plenty here! Whether you're hanging over a waterfall, swinging from the trees in the rain forest, or peering into an active volcano, there are no shortages of adventures for the non-acrophobic!

Picture yourself on this beach. I can definitely picture myself there! The sunsets are beautiful and the beaches are just waiting for you.
Waterfalls That Are Most Astounding
In the rain forest there are incredible waterfalls that send their spray out for a mile around. They're some of the loveliest I've ever seen in a jungle!
The Canopy of the Rain Forest
Talk about cliffhangers, this is the way to do it if you love adventure! Rappelling from the canopy of the rain forest that is so far up you're almost in the clouds! Definitely not for the faint of heart, for sure!

- Wow. Nice lens! I'm a fan of the tropics! (Too blasted cold here in the U.S. mainland!) I have lenses on Guam, Hawaii, the Republic of Palau (Belau), and the Philippines (among many others). I agree with your thoughts on the exotic flowers, butterflies, and what it's like to see crocodiles and other dangerous critters in the wild--I've seen them too! Definitely you've got a great lens here! I've thumbs-upped, liked, favorited, and lensrolled your masterpiece! Congrats on a great job!
