Wild and Wonderful Women of the West!

Although I am a born and raised "City Girl" the spirit of the Cowgirl has always been inside of me. My personal tribute to these wild and wonderful women of the west take form in "mixed-media" paintings and prints that express my thoughts and inspirations.

I chose the cowgirl and horse images because, to me, they symbolize the wild and free spirit inside us all.

About Nance_Hodge

I was born in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Kent State University with a major in Art education. I have taught art in private and public schools. I have received awards and recognition from various institutions and organizations. Many of my works hang in private collections here in California and the rest of the US.

Although I am a born and raised "City Girl" the spirit of the Cowgirl has always been inside of me. I choose to focus on cowgirl and horse images because, to me, they symbolize the wild and free spirit inside us all. My goal is to make people, mostly women, smile. I rely on a combination of mixed media and watercolors in my whimsical pieces to convey this attitude .

I presently reside in Ventura, California, with my husband of 35 years and my wonderful cat Georgie, my "muse".
