Create-A-Friend was created by two mothers with children who love creating their own friends. They have three boys who love to build, and create stuffed animals. They decided there should be a way to have parties, and create friends in the comfort of your own home.

History Of The Teddy Bear

Teddy Bears made their first appearance in 1902. They were based on a comic strip version featuring Theodore Roosevelt. A toy maker created a stuffed version of the comic, and it was dubbed the "Teddy Bear" after Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt.

Soon teddy bears became a popular toy. They have remained popular through the years. Today they are still a well loved special toy for all ages.

Stuffing Instructions

You don't have to go to the mall to stuff your own bear. Bring the bear stuffing party to your home. It's easy to do, and if you get lost here are some stuffing instructions:
1. Start with the head -The head is already pretty stuffed. Just stuff it a little more if you would like and stuff the neck.
2. Stuff the arms and legs- This is the tricky part. You will need to use small amounts of stuffing to get it into the arms and legs. You should stuff the arms and legs as tight as you can. Use your index and middle finger to stuff in this small space.
3. Finish with the body - Now your to the easy part! Stuff the body as much as you would like. Give your friend a few hugs along the way, stop stuffing when your friend is perfectly huggable. Don't forget to add you guardian angel bear, and make a wish.
4. Zip the back, and push the zipper in.
Remove strips covering the Velcro and close.

The stuffing instructions make it easy to have a party, and allow each child to stuff their own friend. Allow the child to hug the friend when you think it is sufficiently stuffed. If your friend is huggable, then it is sufficiently stuffed!

Bear and Jungle Themed Birthday Party Ideas

Finger Food
Animal Crackers, or Teddy Grahams

Use animal, or bear shaped cookie cutters to make animal cookies, and let the kids decorate them. Set up a small area with some different colors of icing, sprinkles and little candies, and let them create their own masterpiece.

You can also use the cookie cutters to make animal shaped sandwiches.

Hide and Seek Game
Tie small prizes to stuffed animals or bears, and hide them around the house. Let the kids find them, and keep the prizes. Better yet stuff your treat bags in your Create-A-Friend, and hide them around the house. Children can remove the treat bags and stuff the friend they find.

Fun Activity
Purchase a large poster board, or photo mat, and put a photo of the birthday child, or a photo of the birthday child and friends in the center, let the children decorate around the photo with animal stickers, animal magazine clippings, markers, glitter (if you're daring), additional photos,or animal stamps.

When you're done the birthday boy or girl will have a great keepsake from their birthday party.
