The Creature From The Black Lagoon

The Creature From the Black Lagoon was produced by William Alland. The story was inspired by a story he was told by a South American movie director. About prehistoric beings that lived somewhere along the Amazon River. From this story, Alland got the idea to create a creature that was half man, half fish that had survived evolution.

The movie is set as a scientific expedition that is searching for fossils along the Amazon River. On this expedition, they discover the prehistoric Gill-Man in the legendary Black Lagoon. The explorers capture the Gill-Man, but he breaks free and kidnaps the starlet Kay, who is the fiancée of one of the explorers that he has fallen in love with.

The 50th anniversary celebration of the original Creature From the Black Lagoon film was in November, 2003. The film was finished in 1953 and debuted in 1954. Enter my lagoon and enjoy the fun.
