Ok Homozygous Paint Horses Web Page! HERD DISPERSAL SALE!!!!!
OksSonRiseSirPrize aka "Mister" Bl/wh homozygous stallion, by Tuffest Spookster aka "Casper" X Splash of Moonlite aka "Splash" for sale! Mister is now old enough to start using as a herd stud or to start training to ride or show the way you want him. Price: $1500.00 My husband and I have been raising homozygous APHA Paint horses for the last 14 years. Homozygous means that no matter what we breed them to, Donkey, Zebra, solid colored horse, they will always produce Tobiano spotted offspring. We have a wonderful herd of three homozygous stallions, two are for sale, four homozygous mares and one painted half Arabian/half Paint. She is a daughter to our herd stallion Tuffest Spookster aka "Casper". Casper is the gentlest stallion you could ever have. He's just a half-ton plus, baby. I offer homozygous stud service at all times, horses for sale, and foals for sale occasionally. Several of these horses are in training now with my husband Dean to ride and in preparation to be trained towards whatever discipline you'd like. See link below for photos and more information on our horses.
Feel free to email or call the address listed on the Ok Paints page with any questions you might have.Sorry this link is no longer active. Tripod deleted my website that I had worked on for over ten years. Since it was a free site I have no recourse. It was done by an automated scan, that obviously didn't like my using the words stud or stallion when referring to a male horse. Ok Homozygous Paint Horses Page!

Please take the time to browse through the lenses to the right and find the one on CYSTINURIA! One of the rarest kidney diseases around! Educate yourself on it in case it ever effects someone you know.
Imagine how I felt when they added that to my already existing diagnosis' of SLE Lupus, and Multiple Sclerosis!?
There is not allot of info on the web to learn about this disease, so I am trying to compile a decent list of links and educational stories. If you have or know someone with Cystinuria feel free to sign the guest book and tell us your story. Please check it out and vote on us too!

OK'S MORNING SUNSHINE aka "Sunshine"
Pictured here with an old friend "Michele" that passed away just after this loving bath. Sunshine is such a gentle dog. Sunshine was three years old in Nov., and it is amazing how fast she's growing up. There is something new everyday. I will try to catch up soon and let you see some progress. She's learning her frisbee and I was finally able to add photos. You can't tell it in the one photo however she is actually off of the ground, it just looks like she is standing on her hind legs. Hubby says she is doing quite well in her training. Due to my illness I haven't been able be as involved as I will try to update then. Thanks for your patience. Reader Feedback

Sunshine, my Australian Shepherd!
The link below to a lens on Australian Shepherds and see what Sunshine is up to now!
Oks Morning Sunshine ~ My Ausie pup!
Sunshine is my 1 1/2 year old Ausie puppy that is trying to decide where she fits in the world. She is a guard dog, baby-sitter, beginner herding dog, starting frisbee dog, she's not sure what else she'd like to do with herself to keep her busy. Amazingly all of the above isn't enough to occupy her time. Ausies have at least 48 hours to everyday, verses the normal 24 hours the rest of the world have. For more info on Australian Shepherds check out my lens. Be sure to sign my guest books and click on my stars! Thanks for visiting and come back often. God bless, Peg
Below is a link to National Multiple Sclerosis Society!
I will also be adding links to some of the other things I deal with, for informational purposes.
Diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis:
National Multiple Sclerosis Society
There are no laboratory tests, symptoms, or physical findings that can, by themselves, determine if a person has multiple sclerosis. Furthermore, there are many symptoms of MS that can also be caused by other diseases. Therefore, the MS diagnosis can only be made by carefully ruling out all other possibilities.
The long-established criteria for diagnosing MS are:
1. There must be objective evidence of two attacks (i.e. two episodes of demyelination in the central nervous system). An attack, also known as an exacerbation, flare, or relapse, is defined clinically as the sudden appearance or worsening of an MS symptom or symptoms, which lasts at least 24 hours. The objective evidence comes from findings on the neurologic exam and additional tests.
2. The two attacks must be separated in time (by at least one month) and space (indicated by evidence of inflammation and/or damage in different areas of the central nervous system).
3. There must be no other explanation for these attacks or the symptoms the person is experiencing.
Over the last twenty years, tests such as magnetic resonance imaging, examination of cerebrospinal fluid, and evoked response testing have played an increasingly important role in the diagnostic process. In 2001, the International Panel on the Diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, chaired by W.I. McDonald, FRCP (Royal College of Physicians, London), issued a revised set of diagnostic criteria (Annals of Neurology 2001; 50:121-127).
Since 2001, the McDonald Criteria for Diagnosis of MS have been used worldwide. The International Panel, chaired by Chris Polman, MD, reconvened in March 2005 to consider extensive data that had been collected since 2001 and to recommend appropriate revisions to the criteria. These revisions, termed the 2005 Revisions to the McDonald Diagnostic Criteria for MS, were published in 2005 ( Annals of Neurology 2005; 58:840-846). These revisions will help to enhance the speed and accuracy of an MS diagnosis.
MRI Is the Preferred Method of Imaging the Brain
MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is the preferred method of imaging the brain to detect the presence of plaques or scarring caused by MS. This technology is able to detect lesions in different parts of the central nervous system and differentiate old lesions from those that are new or active.
