Cross Breed Poodles - Hypoallergenic and User Friendly
What exactly is a Schnoodle or a Labradoodle or a Goldendoodle? Sounds like a new software program or a recipe for cookies from Aunt Bee. Actually these are names for cross breed poodles. The Schnoodle is a cross between a Schnauzer and a Poodle. The Labradoodle is a cross between a Labrador and a Poodle and the Goldendoodle is a cross breed between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. They all make wonderful pets and they are said to be hypoallergenic because they have short hair that doesn't shed as much as other canines with longer hair.
Since these dogs are a hybrid between a poodle and let's say a Labrador, they usually are smaller in size and have shorter hair than a purebred. The Labradoodle was first deliberately bred in 1989, when Australian breeder Wally Conron first crossed the Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle for Guide Dogs Victoria.
