Skin Me!
With the success of Rock Band, Rock Band and the Guitar Hero series of games a whole new slew of accessories have hit the market to help gamers customize their gear.
These custom skins range from generic skins to slightly stand apart all the way to completely customized skins you can have created for you. One site even allows you to add your gamer tag, your own name, or you band's name to their skins.
Prices seem to range from $14.99 and up.
The skins themselves are usually made from vinyl and not only help make the guitar look custom, but also help protect the finish as well. All the vinyl designs I have seen are also easily removable, so if you tire of one design, simply remove it and put another one on.
If you try to save a few dollars and end up purchasing cheap stick on paper labels, clean up will be more of a headache and they will wear out very quickly. So make sure you know what you are buying.
I have a few links at the bottom for some custom mods you can do on your own, including adding a real string to strum! Check them out at the bottom of the page.

- I love this lens, I love the idea of skins for a guitar! I want more than one now, so that I can have different skins for different moods - a collection of Guitar Hero guitars with different skins! Fantastic!
