Wonderful lens, I have visited before more than once, but this time I come with a blessing. THanks for a great lens.

Hello Artyfax.....thank you so much for the blessing! Glad you stop by every so often :)
  • ViJuvenate Jan 17, 2012 @ 8:03 am | delete
I love this 'grown up' version of a collage. I'm not sure collages I attempted today would look much different from the collages of my youth, but this is great fodder for ideas I would really like to try.
  • fotolady49 Jan 17, 2012 @ 3:08 pm | delete
Thank you ViJuvenate (clever name) for visiting and I hope you get an opportunity to explore collage. It is not only creative and fun, it can also be healing and therapeutic!
  • CNelson01 Jan 11, 2012 @ 11:30 am | delete
Interesting lens. I've made a few digital collages but have yet to try the cut and paste type.
  • fotolady49 Jan 16, 2012 @ 6:04 pm | delete
Thank you for visiting! I'm glad you've found this of interest. Digital collages are certainly more convenient but the 'hands on way' is real fun too!
  • CNelson01 Jan 16, 2012 @ 8:40 pm | delete
Yes...cut and paste is the traditional way and won't be replaced by digital collages. I'm clueless and glueless so I do the digital kind. Thank you for the thumbs up on some of my lenses.
  • fotolady49 Jan 17, 2012 @ 3:21 pm | delete
Hey Chuck, you are very welcome! 'Clueless and glueless' that is humorous...
let me know if you have any questions....you can even cut up old and reject photos to make a new creation, you never know what kind of 'phoenix' will rise out of the ashes :)
  • adamfrench Oct 17, 2011 @ 7:51 am | delete

I have done collages - my vision board that I made a few years ago was a collage but not up to the standard of yours. i have also played with making collages in Photoshop but haven't been extremely happy with the results. You've inspired me - I'm going to use some pictures of raindrops to create texture.
  • fotolady49 Aug 16, 2011 @ 6:39 pm | delete
I'm glad that I've given you some inspiration! Squidoo is such a neat place to get inspired.
There are so many times I come away from reading lenses that inspire me and I learn a lot to boot. Thanks for visiting and commenting and I will make sure to visit some of your lenses.
  • fotolady49 Oct 18, 2011 @ 2:43 pm | delete
Another note on collage: The more you work on collages the better you will get. As like most art it is subjective, but we are always happy if it speaks to others and they like it as well. Keep it touch and let me know if you have any questions.

great lens....I have thought about drawing montages, but have not had the time yet.
  • fotolady49 Dec 26, 2010 @ 1:02 pm | delete
Hello Chinajoy - thank you! Drawing would be a different perspective. Would you create a drawing on one canvas that resembled a montage or would you make one by compositing several of your drawings onto a new canvas?
  • jonart Dec 25, 2010 @ 10:21 pm | delete
Done a few collages and loved your lens. :)

wonderful lens, I have been collaging for the past couple of years and feel quite at home on this page. Your instruction sequence is a great help to beginners. But I always like to position my elements before starting to glue.

I have just published a lens aimed at beginners to collage, I must have missed yours before starting it. But I will certainly be lensrolling it

I love collage! I haven't had the history of it clear in my mind, though. This lens is wonderfully informative. Lately my favorite medium is Photoshop because the possibilities are endless and I don't have to get my hands dirty. lol 5*

Thank you for sharing your lovely collages.
