Cutting & Decorating Tips

Refrigerate your cookie dough for at least 30 minutes before using cookie cutters.
Lightly coat cookie cutters with cooking spray to keep dough from sticking.
Add color to your cookies before baking using a mixture of egg yolk tinted with food coloring to 'paint' the dough.
Add flavor to your icing with lemon, orange, vanilla, or almond extract.

I love cookie cutters! I especially like the ones that leave an imprint. I have a kitchen cupboard full of cookie cutters, I probably need to down size LOL
