Between November 2007 and mid-July 2009 we collected data from area fishermen, our Field Team's fishing reports, and onsite observations.
Preliminary analysis of the data showed interesting trends in lures and baits used when fishing for Striped Bass. And, despite the limited data, we consider the results warrant a follow-on effort to validate the findings.
Subsequently, we offer our readers an opportunity to rate the lures and baits listed below based on their experience when fishing the tailrace.
In doing so, we hope our readers' feedback will serve to validate the findings and ultimately help others enjoy success when fishing the tailrace.

Live bait was a consistent producer over cut bait with more...1 point
3. Cutbait - Skipjack
Skipjack produced good results but issues were not more...0 points
4. Cutbait - Shad
Shad also produced and were more readily available more...0 points
5. Cutbait - Perch
Perch closely followed but the preference for Live more...0 points
