As you can see in the graph above, natural gas and electrical costs are projected to sky-rocket over the next decade. This is the primary reason everyone should start looking into DIY solar panels. One fact is, the average American family will spend 20-25% of their earnings (post-income tax) on energy sources this year. Electricity and other energy will only rise in the future, so why wait to get involved when you can start saving your money, and our earth, right away?

You may not think turning on that lamp, television set, or ceiling fan causes green-house gases, but I'll bet that your house primarily runs on electricity produced by burning coal, one of the most dirty energy sources on the planet.

As you can see, less than 3% of the power generated in the U.S. is generated by green energy sources. Considering the advancement in technology over the years, you'd think we were hitting the 20% mark. However, DIY solar power is 100% natural. Solar panels produce absolutely nothing in terms of green house gases and this is the second reason you need to look into a solar power system for your home.
