Make a list of the positives and negatives about the room
Are there bottle necks where people always seem to gather?
Are there areas where clutter always accumulates.
Which room do you always feel most comfortable in and why.
Which rooms are too small to accommodate your current needs.
Is there enough natural light?
Is the artificial lighting well positioned.
Is the room warm enough.
Are the current finishes, walls, flooring, furniture, lighting, suitable for your situation.

Other things to consider
What activities take place in each room?
Do you have small children, pets, what are their needs?
Do you need space for leisure activity?
Do you often have guests sleeping over?
Do you have enough storage?
Do you have space consuming hobbies?
