With a host of legendary characters, hilarious catchphrases, and bungled missions, the true comedy genius of Dad's Army is now yours to cherish forever. For many years, it was thought that most of the episodes from series 2 were "wiped" early in the 1970s. Recently, however, copies of the first two episodes of this series were found after decades of searching. Arthur Lowe, for instance, was previously Mr Swindley in Coronation Street (he even had his own spin-off series, Pardon the Expression), while the distracted John Le Mesurier had previously starred in the TV series George and the Dragon, and numerous cinema films. Featuring five riotous episodes from the legendary BBC series, where well-loved characters such as Captain Mainwaring, Sergeant Wilson, Corporal Jones play havoc with the Nazis.
