My Severe Dandruff Problems
I get dandruff not just on my head but on my face and shoulders. My eyelids also become very flaky and my chest gets very dry and itchy red patches on it.
If you can Imagine what kind of Social effects this has had on my life it did make me feel very un-attractive as a teenager. I would say probably the way most teens with severe acne feel.
When I was about 19 someone suggested that I see a Dermatologist and do something about my dandruff problem, and I did. The Dermatologist I saw had me take off my shirt he then looked at the dry red patches on my chest and then looked at my flaky face and eyelids and then at my scalp, Within 5 minutes he diagnosed my condition as severe Dandruff, then wrote me a 3 prescriptions. The great thing about this doctor is he said he could help me manage my problem and he did. Now when I was younger my parents had taken me to our hmo and three doctors stood around, poked and proded and argued about what my condition was and how to treat it, but the dermatologist was the best specialist I had ever seen, Certain in his diagnosis I followed his advice and within a week you wouldn't even know I was the same person.
All of the treatments he prescribed to me are now available over the counter and online they just aren't prescription Strenght but they're very close

The Next Prescription He Gave Me Was
. This is a Blue Bar of Soap that can be puchased online or ordered at most Drug Stores then picked up after they recieve it, I just order online and it comes right to my door though, that way I don't have to make two trips to the store. I use this cream to help with Redness and Itching and it works well the only problem with using creams on your skin is they can cause Clogged Pores so make sure to wait 30 minutes after a shower before applying, so that your Pores have had time to close
