Danish Swedish Farmdogs are a rare and wonderful small breed of dog new to the United States of America. They are a very versatile dog which can do herding and ratting, as well as dog sports such as agility, obedience, flyball, go-to-ground, tracking and many others. They resemble the Jack Russel Terrier in appearance only. In behavior they are loving and are a great family dog. They get along great with children and love to sleep in your bed!

The Danish Swedish Farmdog comes in a couple of colors. The standard, from the Danish Kennel Club, says the dogs should be mostly white. They can also be tricolor... which includes black red and white. Or bi-color, which includes either black and white, or red and white.
The Danish Swedish Farmdog is a small dog, and averages about 12 to 14 inches for the females, and 13 to 15 inches for the males. The females are about 18 to 22 pounds, and the males are about 20 to 25 pounds.
If you are interested in purchasing a Danish Swedish Farmdog puppy, you may have to wait for a while or look into purchasing a puppy from a breeder in Europe. There are only about 100 dogs in the USA as of February 2009.
