And More...
The Danish Swedish Farmdog is a small dog, and averages about 12 to 14 inches for the females, and 13 to 15 inches for the males. The females are about 18 to 22 pounds, and the males are about 20 to 25 pounds.
If you are interested in purchasing a Danish Swedish Farmdog puppy, you may have to wait for a while or look into purchasing a puppy from a breeder in Europe. There are only about 100 dogs in the USA as of February 2009.
Careful breeding is important for these dogs, as they are great companions and working dogs, and keeping the genetic lines free of disease and disorder is critical! The Danish Swedish Farmdog is not a registered AKC breed. However, the Danish Swedish Farmdog is registered with the UKC, the United Kennel Club. The United Kennel Club also allows mixed breeds in competitions, unlike the AKC.
