Darkfall is currently in creation, and is set to be release to the public in 2008. I'm not sure if the game will be released, or the beta. The game seems pretty legit, from the information I have heard about it. Here are some cool features about the game.

There are 6 possible races divided into 3 factions. Human/Mirdain/Dwarf, Ork/Mahirim, and the lone Alfar. Now, in this game there is open PvP, but if you attack someone of the same faction you will receive an alignment penalty. Alignment penalties have there own effects. If your alignment gets too bad, then guards will not allow you into friendly cities. Likewise, if it's good then you may even unlock more quests.

This game also has siege warfare in it where hundreds of people can fight over one city in a clan war. Now, I know you are wondering about lag, but Adventurine, the creators of Darkfall, have a solution to this. They have used a complicated programming to help prevent lag. On Darkfall you get about 40-60 fps (frames per second), during a siege warfare on a decent computer.
