Learn David Blaine Card Tricks!

Alright lets admit, David Blaine is the man, especially with cards.

Yup when it comes to tricks David Blaine knows what he is doing, he is one of the biggest magicians around by far. He can be compared to some of the best such as David Copperfield, Criss Angel, and Derren Brown. If you do not know any of these magicians please look them up on youtube.

If you like David Blaine you will love them.

For awhile I went all out trying to figure out how to do tricks like them. I had maybe one good trick though, everything I looked at was boring pull the ball out of the cup stuff. I didn't want that! I wanted to perform amazing different tricks Like David Blaine.

For instance I don't know if you ever knew this but Blaine stays away from props. He tries to do things by misdirection and other things.

But all the "impromptu" tricks I found were a load of Bull, it wasn't that they were bad, its just everyone knew them.

OK just to get you riled up for a second, this is the kind of stuff I can now do.

I recently went to a party, a lot of the people there had heard about my magic tricks and someone asked me to do some.

I sat around and did a few card tricks, nothing big, although when I did the cought trick (You pull the spectators signed card out of your mouth) I did get a lot of screams.

But that was nothing, just like the book described I built up the exerience, I had everyone laughing and serious at the right times.

Finally I quitely stood in front of everyone, raised up my arms, lowered them, took a deep breath. Everyone had their eyes on me as I ROSE into the air and LEVITATED.

For a second everyone was speechless I was afraid I didn't do it right and they didn't see anything, until someone swore and another person began laughing.

Definitely worth all of the practice.

I almost gave up for awhile

That is until I found this site on David Blaine Card Tricks there were some awesome tricks there!

One of the coolest things is, I now turn on my computer, choose one of the tricks they supplied. I look at it and say "eh that might be cool" go out with my buddy.

And we have huge reactions! People looking over! Groups of people gathering around us, as we just sit at a table doing another small trick.

And then we leave before they get all they need, now all they want is more.

The cool thing is it taught me how to get over one of my biggest problems. Actually approaching people I did not know to perform a trick.

Would you guys like a nice free trick?

Here is one I use all the time that is a great opener, you see you want to open people with a head scratcher, and then really hit them with a big trick!

This is not a "big" Trick but is amazing, honestly I have had people swear at me at the end of it.

So let's get down to business...

Effect: The spectator or target shuffles a deck of cards and hands them to the mentalist. The mentalist takes the pack and spreads 20 cards randomly around a table in one giant pile.

He tells the spectator that he is going to think of a card, and he wants the spectator to point to a card. The magician names a card and the spectator chooses one. The magician picks it up, looks at it, nods then puts it face down.

He then repeats this with a different card. Finally the magician says he is going to do something different. He being the magician wants to choose a card himself. So he names a card then randomly picks one up.

Then turning to the spectator he says "you really are good with cards" and turns over the cards, all of them are the cards he had named.

Method :

This trick is best performed as a social experiment. Tell the spectators or targets that you are just doing a social experiment on how people can recognize a card just by looking at the back.

The method like all methods is simple. After the spectator shuffles the cards riffle the deck in your hand and take a glance at the top card. The spectator will never think this is weird, make it look natural don't look like you are covering up and do it while maybe moving to sit down or something of the sort.

Then spread out all of the cards, make sure you remember where the card is you placed down.

Name the card you memorized, let the spectator choose a card (make sure he never looks at it) slide it over and look at it.

Name the card you just picked up, the spectator will choose a card, look at it, now name the last card. Choose the card you first named (Remember the one you memorized and kept track of) and pick it up!

Now you have all three, shuffle the three and snap your fingers. Turn them over.

Note: If the spectator accidentally ever does really choose your memorized card, perfect! Just finish the trick there and turn it over.
