"I bought the DW716 a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I opted for the non-slider as I had heard the sliders are not as accurate. This saw is extremely powerful and smooth. The laser works great (but it did take a while to get the laser properly setup). One thing I HIGHLY recommend is a RIDGID MS-UV miter stand. RIDGID is known for industrial quality tools and the stand is no exception. I found the stand at Home Depot and it is the best miter saw stand available. It folds and unfolds easily. The wheels make it highly portable. It is MUCH better than the Dewalt or the Delta miter stands. The combination of a stand and a 12" miter needs wheels, as it is very heavy. You can leave the Dewalt 12" miter mounted to the RIDGID, set it vertically in the corner out of the way and only pull it out when you actually need it. The combo DW715 with a RIDGID stand is perfect. If you are going to purchase this saw, I recommend you buy both."
