"This is a fabulous gun. You couldn't ask for more. It fires fast without hesitation. The "rapid fire" mode makes quick work of quick work! The optional nail size is nice - you will always have the right nail for the job. You can fire about 125 or more nails per battery. The work light flashes whenever the battery gets low or a nail gets jammed. This gun is worth the money, I love it."

"I bought this so I could install new baseboards and crown molding in my home.

Its extremely powerful. I'm a multiple DeWalt tool owner and this gun lives up to the solid reputation of DeWalt. A setting of 3 or 4 is plenty to counter sink a 2.5 inch into the wood molding. I have finished two complete rooms and never had a jam or misfire. If you are used to an air nailer, this gun might feel a bit heavier in your hand. But it is very well balanced and you will get used to it rather quickly."

"I absolutely love this cordless nailer. This 34 degree version can get into the tight places much easier than the straight nailer, especially when it comes to crown molding. To date I haven't had any power issues, misfire, or jams with this nailer. The Hitachi 2.5 inch finish nails seem to work best for my projects. I would definitely recommend this cordless nailer to anyone. I paid $449 for mine and it was well worth every penny."

"I bought this tool in September and immediately used it to frame door jambs and casing. It worked perfectly. My only complaint is its a bit on the heavy side (but its still much lighter than lugging around a compressor, hoses, cords, etc). If you buy the angle gun the price of the nails are approx. 50% more than the other DeWalt straight nailer. Its well worth it though, because with this angle nailer you can reach into the deep corners fairly easily. This is a great gun and I highly recommend it. I have used it for entire jobs, which means I didn't have to use compressors or hoses which is always a joy. I have used this gun now for 90 days and have had great success. Nice job DeWalt!"

"Let me just start by saying this nailer is HUGE! I was well prepared for the weight of it (every review I've read mentions it), but this gun is physically big. It makes my large hands feel small! Despite the size, the weight is very well balanced and it handles surprisingly well. You'll forget how big it is after just a few nails.

As for power and performance, this gun can fire as fast as you can aim and squeeze. The funny mechanical noise is normal - I believe DeWalt designed this particular gun with some sort of "flywheel" inside to keep the power going for rapid fire shooting. This is a great looking gun that works great. You can shoot a heck of a lot of nails per battery charge. Jams don't happen often and when they do they are easy to clear. I only used 2" nails, so I can't give an opinion on performance with other nail lengths, but with the 2" I was very impressed. I recommend this gun."
