"This is a heavy jigsaw, which is a good thing. The weight of it keeps it steady around the curves. This saw is the best cutting jigsaw I have ever used, and that includes the Bosch brand of jigsaws. The only minor complaint I have is the blower blows dust over the line and I find that I sometimes have to blow the line myself. Other than that on detail, everything else about this jigsaw is perfect."

"I love this jigsaw! I had been using a Bosch jigsaw but never really warmed up to it. When DeWalt released the 331K I decided to give it a whirl. I'm glad I did. I like the quick, easy, no tool blade change, and I prefer DeWalt's lever-type system to the spinning knob system that Bosch uses. Every time I switched blades on the Bosch, the knob snapped when it locked the blade and always felt like something had just broken. Another feature I'm really happy with is the DeWalt's dust blower. It works! The dust blower on my Bosch never worked very well. This saw has a great feel to it - a quality, sturdy-built feel. I am keeping my Bosch as a backup, but when it comes to a jigsaw the Dewalt DW331K is my tool of choice."

"I'm a previous Bosch 18v Jig Saw owner and I was never happy with it. Jig Saws need to do only one thing: cut curves and corners better than other saws. This new DeWalt Jig Saw is phenomenal in all respects, its blade guidance system allows for tight curve-cutting, and that comparison is for any Jig Saw I have ever used, corded or cordless. I've always been a loyal Milwaukee enthusiast but when it comes to a jig saw, this unit is your best choice. The power is excellent and smooth. Its balance is near perfect and the keyless shoe is great. This is hands-down the best jig saw I have ever used and I am a pro. The only negative thing I can say is the blade does not fall out when you pull the release lever. You actually need to pull it out, but that's a minor issue. This is a great saw."

"Wow. This jigsaw sure surprised me. I owned the previous version of this saw and was never happy with it. I almost purchased a Bosch instead of this but I really love cordless tools so I figured I would give DeWalt another chance. So I opted for this DeWalt jig because of the glowing reviews and the battery commonality. I'm really glad I bought this jigsaw!

The blade change system is flawless. The saw cuts are very straight and the unit pumps out a lot of power. There really is an excess amount of power, at least for what I'm doing. I'm only cutting with about 3/4 power because there is so much extra power in reserve. This things really rocks. The blower works extremely well too. It keeps the line clear even with a heavy build-up of saw dust.

The balance of this saw is very good. I'd say it runs as smooth as a BMW. The variable speed is nice, with a wide range of power and high RPM's. This is a great jig saw and you won't be disappointed if you purchase it."
