This printer puts out quality text and graphic printing. It prints 31 ppm in black and white at a maximum of 600 x 600 dpi. In color it prints about 17 ppm when left at default settings. The connection also allows you to see how much toner is being used and when it is necessary to order new toner. The ability to have it reordered automatically also exists. There is a wireless adapter available for wireless printing. This costs about $150.

A 400 MHz processor comes standard allowing for quick execution of printing tasks. The RAM memory is 128 MB, but can be upgraded up to 1,152 MB. The maximum upgrade will benefit users of network printing, preventing slow printing and back up of print jobs. A smaller upgrade will free computer memory if there are a lot of print jobs to be done. One memory expansion slot is also standard.

It is a sizable printer and needs space. It comes in standard black and silver housing. It is 18.5 inches tall, 15.8 inches wide, and 19.1 inches deep. More space will be needed with the multipurpose tray open. It weighs in at 53 lbs.
