Democratic National Convention Election 2010 Party : Are you a Party Person?
Ranked #993 in News, #100,446 overall
ARE YOU A PARTY PERSON?
PARTY MAN - In the early days of the USA Republic, one of the worst insults the Founding Fathers could give someone was to refer to them as a PARTY MAN. To be a PARTY MAN meant you put the welfare of your political party above the interests of the country. ARE YOU A PARTY PERSON ?
THAT HAVING BEEN SAID: PLEASE VOTE
My first preference would be to advise you to learn about the candidates and then cast an educated vote. But to reflect the realities that exist and to encourage as many people to vote as possible I assert the FOLLOWING :IF YOU LIKE THE WAY THINGS ARE, VOTE FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ARE ALREADY IN GOVERNMENT, IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE WAY THINGS ARE, VOTE FOR PERSONS NOT ALREADY IN GOVERNMENT. The people in government now and in the past are responsible for the way things are now, if you want change, vote for someone new.
DO NOT LET YOUR SELF GET BOGGED DOWN IN HALL THE HYPE AND PROMOTIONI. Do not get frustrated by the volume of information and propaganda. IF YOU LACK THE TIME TO STUDY EACH OF THE CANDIDATES THAT WANT TO REPRESENT YOU, JUST MAKE A LIST OF WHO YOUR CURRENT REPRESENTATIVES ARE NOW AND TAKE IT WITH YOU TO THE VOTING BOOTH. IF YOU LIKE THE WAY THINGS ARE, VOTE FOR THE CURRENT REPRESENTATIVES ON THE LIST YOU BROUGHT WITH YOU TO THE POLL; IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THE WAY THINGS ARE, VOTE FOR WHOEVER IS RUNNING AGAINST THE PERSON ON YOUR LIST. IT IS THAT SIMPLE! JUST VOTE!
RESOURCES TO FIND YOUR REPRESENTATIVES: I have included below in the links section, links to websites to allow you to easily make a list of your current representatives.
WHERE TO VOTE : call your secretary of state to learn where to vote. Or call your local city hall or county government center. Or call your state or local political party headquarters. All you generally have to do is give them your address. Make sure you call a few weeks before the election to avoid busy signals and/or long hold times. Googling "Where to vote {your state here}" generally will allow you to find your polling place online.
REGISTER TO VOTE :
PRE-REGISTER - If you have not previously voted at your current address, contact your secretary of state and preregister to vote before the election.
REGISTERING AT THE POLL - Check your local rules but generally all that is necessary is a picture ID with your current address or a recent utility bill with your name and address or simply having a currently registered precinct voter vouch for you.
PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED VOTERS: If you have not moved since you last voted, you should not have to do anything to vote, except perhaps produce picture ID.
AGAIN, PLEASE VOTE. THANK YOU
