Depression Treatment or Beating Depression

When I use the term depression treatment, I am not talking about using medicinal drugs necessarily. Beating Depression
can be done with natural means and you know I am not against using depression medicines altogether. Heaven knows I know people who if they don't use them they and the people they know are in big trouble. So, since I have had trouble with depression off and on in most of my life, I thought exploring this might be a good idea.

Beating Depression -- A New Approach?

A very good mindfulness meditation teacher has said that he feels that depression as we label is just the unconscious purifying itself and that we can be mindful of what we are feeling and take the time to be gentle and even move slowly through whatever it is we are doing so as to be able to help the process.

I don't know, but I do know that Nature must have some wisdom for us to be a live at all, and maybe depression is Nature's way of telling us to slow down.

So maybe there is an easier way for Beating Depression click here for an inexpensive way that just might make the difference!

Medication for Depression ?

Get Some Facts and Try Natural Depression Relief First

There are three main groups of medication including the tricyclics and the more modern and commonly used selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors and the monoamine oxidase inhibitors. Unfortunately the tricyclics have more side-effects so tend not to be prescribed with the same frequency as the newer types. Often, the doctor will actually mix the medications if it will help the patient. The doctor might actually prescribe a variety of medications to help cure a person's depression illness.

If the doctor feels it will help he may raise or lower the dosage of the medication he has prescribed in order to best meet the patient's personal requirement. The patients are warned however not to do this mix and matching on their own depression medication or to adjust their own levels but leave it to the professionals. A warning to all depression sufferers though is to not confuse anti-anxiety or sedative medication as a treatment. Although often prescribed as a combination treatment with other medication, anti-anxiety drugs are not used to cure the problem.

Their purpose is to help calm the nerves, which is why depression medications are still required to be taken by the depression patient. Although still used quite regularly, it is the tricyclics that cause the most commonly seen side-effects. In severe cases, the sufferer may not even be able to function properly and it is at this pint that thus type of drug would be withdrawn and replaced by another. In any situation like this the first course of action is to report it to your physician as soon as possible.

All that being said, there are so many natural ways to help with depression, that turning to medications should be the LAST resort or only used in an emergency or for a short period of time.
I have always dealt with my depression naturally, but I am not against medications when they are absolutely necessary.

Depression Treatment for Beating Depression Can be a Challenge

Probably the second most common cause is a person's place of work and could be the result of confrontation, stressful work, intimidation or even harassment; a normal side effect of this condition can be a panic attack. Someone who is so depressed they are unable to even to carry out the most basic day to day tasks desperately needs to seek help; when they become so unhappy they cannot face even going to work a professional must intervene to end the mental conflict. There are times where a person has been prescribed medication for an illness, for example, and a side effect caused by the chemicals in the medication is depression; this is a problem for the person on medication especially where no external situation exists that could actually have caused the condition.

Such people will need to consult their doctors so that the right treatment can be prescribed and the symptoms disappear. Where the cause for the depression cannot be found, the task of curing the condition becomes much harder; a situation like this can make treating the condition much more complicated. If there are issues that are hard to work through then help will be needed to resolve these issues; when the patient refuses to recognize the cause of the condition, the healing process will come to a halt.

Although around for a long time, it is well known that manic depression or bipolar as it is also known can be hard to diagnose; it take many years to diagnose owing to the type of symptoms displayed and the other various types whose category the person may also fall into. When a person is unable to deal with their own issues, this condition will usually follow and at that point, provided they can admit they have a problem, something can normally be done. Often, once the depressed person makes this first move towards medical help, there is a sense that something might finally lift; if it is having a detrimental affect on your life then once something positive is done there will be a sense of relief which is the first step to becoming cured.

There is one twist I would like to add here is that depression might very well be the subconscious communicating with your body and it is a way for us discharge our stress and "stuff" if you will. If we think we feel depressed and make it a big deal this could make it worse, why not try to rest and take sometime to allow what might be a natural process.
