An Adventure In Silk and Dye!
Desert Dyeworks is an adventure that began with silk. Playsilks and silk dress-up clothes are where the journey began and has grown from. Experimentation and whimsy have allowed Desert Dyeworks' creations to be known for their quality and distinctiveness.

Silks and Stuff
That's what I do!
What is a Silkie?A silkie or playsilk can be anything your child imagines it to be. It can be fairy wings, a wizard cape, or the covering for a secret hideaway. My daughter used her Gilkie(that was her 2-year old speak for Silkie) as a blankie for herself and a cape for our dog, Lucy. Sometimes she also liked to pretend she had long purple hair!
In addition to the selection of play silks, we also have silk dress-up clothes.
You'll always find Rainbow Capes and Fairy Skirts, but check back when you can so you don't miss out on the uniquely dyed offerings of other capes, fairy skirts, blankets, and other items of my creative whim!

Gotta get it to you somehow!
Most of our items are sent via Priority Mail(Global Priority for international). It's quick and relatively painless. We generally ship within a day or two of payment. However, there are times when the order may take longer to get, but no longer than a week. If it will be longer than a day or two to get shipped, we will let you know.
Payment from international buyers must be funded in U.S. dollars. I cannot accept payment in non-U.S. currency-THANKS!
