The Unique Beauty of Mine Finds by Jay King Jewelry
My love for Southwestern jewelry started at a early age. I was lucky enough to become friends with a native american indian jewelry designer that taught me the history along with the value of certain stones.
One of the first pieces he made for me was a natural turquoise nugget necklace. When I first saw I was not impressed at all. The necklace was very dull and did not possess much color. He told me the more I wore the necklace the more the natural oils from my body would enhance these stones. Indeed the more I wore the necklace the more the colors of the turquoise were enhanced.
This was the start of a passion that has continued throughout my life.
Years ago I was exposed to the designer Jay King. His designs encompass my estate pieces of the Southwest along with many pieces with a modern flair.
Jay King uses traditional Southwest stones he has also introduced a vast array of new stones never seen before. Mr King as an artistic eye for picking new stone varieties that absolutely take your breath away.
From this love I am proud to be able to offer you many of these unique works of art.

Keeping your Jay King pieces from tarnishing...
There are a few items that will keep your Jay King pieces from becoming tarnished.I prefer to clean a piece with Connoisseurs Jewelry wipes. It cleans the silver and is safe to use with gem stones. It also provides an anti tarnish shield.
After cleaning a piece I put the item in a plastic bag with an anti tarnish strip.
Sometimes you can purchase these strips for your sterling flatware. They come in long strips so I cut them into little squares for each item.
After wearing an item before I store the piece I go over it with a Connoisseurs jewelry wipe prior to putting the item back in the plastic bag.
