Wonders Of A Photographic Memory
1. Knowledge is Power
The wise old men have a saying that "knowledge is power". Our era has often been dubbed as the information age, and we are surrounded by data all around us. Whether it is specialized knowledge, or general, the amount of information available is staggering. We use this information in our everyday lives, and a simple task of assembling a table or setting up a tennis court requires knowledge. Imagine then, the amount of information needed for the high technology equipment that we work with every day. Now imagine the wonders of having a photographic memory, and how this can cut down on the amount of referring and reading of manuals over and over again.
2. Getting ahead in life
Without knowledge, it is almost impossible to rise to the top. Be it the social, economic or political food chain, having a photographic memory means that you are able to impress others, learn faster and work faster. Acquiring new skills and learning on the job has never been easier, and the wonders of having a photographic memory is in the drastic shortening of the learning curve. Having a photographic memory hence means that it is now easier to be at the top of the ladder.
3. Playing the Social Game
Aside from power, wealth and fame, others derive pleasure from being able to learn quickly for the sake of learning. It is also a great skill to have at social functions, and the ability to recall everyone's names, jobs, and other snippets of information that you've heard once can turn out to be a blessing. Not only are you likely to impress the person with remembering details of your past conversations, it is easier to recall what they like or abhor and use it to your advantage. Of course, having a photographic memory also makes for great entertainment, when you can recall without effort a list of some 50 words and repeat it without hesitation when asked what the 12th word was.
It is evident that having a photographic memory is a one step up advantage from being an average Joe in the street. In our information age, knowledge is essential to being successful in life. Why settle for being able to access knowledge, when you can have knowledge at your fingertips at any moment?

Photographic Memory & How It Works?
It's incredibly amazing !
So, want to train your brain? Try using association and pictures!
We have all, at some time, been introduced to a new person and within two minutes have completely forgotten their name. A photographic memory technique which is effective for remembering this type of detail is to use word association. If, for instance, you were to be introduced to a rather large gentleman by the name of Albert, by using name association you could reference Albert to the cartoon TV Series 'Fat Albert'. While this association may be unkind, it is a very effective way of quickly remembering someone's name - try it, you will be surprised at how well this works.
However, if you have a practical purpose for wanting to develop a photographic memory, like studying, then there may be better ways. You don't need a photographic memory to improve your study skills.
For example, if you need to remember what you have read then you should set up a heading strategy. Divide everything you read into categories using headings and subheadings. As you read, put information in to headings you create as you go along.
After reading, try to recall the structure of the chapter using the headings. A chapter may be 30 pages long, but it very likely is only conveying eight main points. If you can grasp those points then you should be golden.
Studies by researchers have shown that the connection between the different parts of the brain is a continuous process. If there is a distraction in one part of the brain the effectiveness of the other part of the brain is reduced.
Photographic memory techniques will vary among individuals and once they learn the best method that works for them the more they can learn and maintain in their memory.

- Thanks for the fine lens!
I've had good luck with Supermemo, a memory aid program. Their motto is: forget about forgetting, and it's true, you don't forget what you've learned in the program. But believe me, it's work. Contact me about my experience with it.
