Diamond Wedding Rings

We all know that diamond wedding rings are very popular right now, but why? What makes the diamond the stone of choice for weddings? Well, the truth of the matter is, diamond wedding band rings have been around for a very long time. Although people are not sure just how this custom got started, they do know one thing is for sure, the symbolic meaning of the diamond wedding rings have not changed since they were first started. Today we are going to talk about what the symbolic meanings of the men's diamond wedding rings are, as well as diamond wedding rings for females. The we are going to talk a little bit more about where wedding rings are thought to have come from. We know that they started a long time ago, and there are documents proving that, but we do not know if they started before that, or before documents started to be made.

Diamond Wedding Rings

First things first, the Diamond Wedding Rings are a well known stone. The roots are linked to tradition that is still very strong today. Back then, the stone and ring was a symbolic image of endurance and devotion between two united people. This, for the most part, still remains true today. However, the fact of the matter is, we take this tradition to a whole new level than what it ever was many, many years ago. Diamond wedding rings and diamond engagement ring are a way to show celebration and to promise someone that you will give your everlasting love to them. Diamond wedding band rings are something beautiful, and they are not that way just because of their look. They are that way because of the meaning that is behind them. The circle is to show that your love is never ending. Just as that circle is forever, so is your love. Now that brings up the next question, where did it all start from?

Back around 200 AD, people spoke of engagement rings in the Church. The man who came up with the idea was indeed the son of a Roman. So his idea had to be inspired by something that was in Rome already. On top of that, ancient Egypt started a tradition much like this one long before any of that. They believed that the "vein of love" ran directly from the top of the finger. However, they wore this ring on the fourth finger on their left hand. Later on, in Christian tradition, this was changed to wearing it on the third finger on the right hand. Many think that they did this just so it did not look like the way the Egyptians did it. However, at that time, they say that they did it, because the right hand was sinister. Although the left hand is not sinister anymore, we still wear the ring on our left hands. Men's diamond wedding rings are worn the same way. It is believed at one point that men did not wear wedding rings, that only the women did. This would be because the men were claiming the women as there property.
