This is by far the best lens I have read around Squidoo. Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!
Nothing better to say about Dickens than how Stephen King described him: The Shakespeare of the Novel.

Well Done!.. from your latest fan.

Nephew Fred is an interesting and uplifting character. He lost his mom (Scrooge's sister) at a young age. He has as his only living relative an uncle in Ebenezer Scrooge, a man who barely acknowledgs his existence.

Fred is not a wealthy man monetarily, yet he gives happily to a collection for the poor at Scrooge's office. Fred resists the pleas of his wife and invites his uncle every year to his home for Christmas dinner.

Fred represents the good people of mankind. People who, despite hardships and difficulties, keep their spirits high and their attitudes positive. He looks for the good in people.

It is for reasons such as these, that individuals like Nephew Fred keep the Spirit of Christmas alive. Let's hope that this Christmas, because of the hard economic times in which we live, we try to be a little more like Fred.

Bravo, bravo on your thoughts about Nephew Fred! Yes, I believe we could use a few more Freds in the world. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! =D

Isn't it amazing how many times and in how many ways this story has been retold? I like the scripture you shared with Mr. Scrouge! How appropriate.

I believe the new Christmas Carol movie will be in 3D. The new 3D is very good now and our local theater just got a 3D projector so we'll probably go see it. Lesson plans for this are timely!

What a wonderful resource for teachers. I remember doing lesson plans when I was in college. The internet and Squidoo sure would have been handy way back then ('70's).

You put a lot of work into this lens.
