Breaking Out Of The Dieting Cycle

This lens is about finally breaking out of the dieting cycle. The dieting cycle is when we lose the same weight over and over again because we are on unsustainable diets! It wasn't until I stopped the low calorie diet madness and started Fat Loss 4 Idiots that I was able to continue losing weight until I reached my goal!

Break The Dieting Cycle

Before I finally found something that worked for me long term I went through the dieting cycle countless times. I think most overweight people know exactly what I'm talking about.

We get really excited about a new diet program that seems to be working and then after a couple of weeks we see some results and think we've got it all figured out. Of course we slowly go back to our old habits because we are on a diet that is unsustainable (like a low calorie diet) and eventually we gain all of the weight back! Often times we gain it back with interest (extra pounds!)

The only way to get out of this dieting cycle is by finding something that that really works for you long term. Something that is sustainable. Something you can stick with! Otherwise the diet cycle just repeats itself over and over again and you never get out of the rut.

What I advise you to do is to get out a piece of paper and write down the the weight you are at now. And then write down your goal weight. The weight where you will feel healthy and comfortable. Don't be unrealistic and put down the weight of some Hollywood starlet. Most of them are too skinny anyway! Just a good healthy weight where you will feel good and attractive.

Now obviously the amount of weight you have to lose will effect greatly how much time you should give yourself to lose that weight. For example I had 120 pounds to lose because I wanted to be 130 and I was at 250. So I gave myself a full year. That's 10 pounds a month. For some folks that may seem too slow. But the thing is, if you are going to be successful long term, you need to take it slow. Crash dieting never works!

I did in fact reach my goal and pass it actually! I just finished my first year and I have lost 123 pounds. I'm at 127 now! Yes thank you!

Now you have your goal the amount of time it should take you. Now you need a system to follow. I can tell you what worked for me. A program called Fat Loss 4 Idiots which I highly recommend. It's not just another low calorie, low carb, or low anything diet. It's a new approach to eating that you can make a part of your life long term. That's what you need to do to be really successful and to finally break out of the diet cycle.

Dieting & Fitness Reviews

Fat Loss 4 Idiots Review
Fat Loss 4 Idiots is the diet that I used to finally break out of the diet cycle. I highly recommend it! And it's 100% guaranteed so if it doesn't work for you or you don't like it for any reason you can easily get a 100% money back refund. So there's really nothing to lose but your extra weight!
Workout Pass Review
I'm a member of this service. It basically gives you access to 43 different exercise websites for just one price. It's pretty great! I never run out of different exercises to do. Although I don't use all 43 websites, I do use about 5 of them and they have been really helpful for making exercise more interesting.
Turbulence Training Review
Turbulence Training is really cool. I know that it's helped me to lose weight faster than I otherwise would have. I do like to mix my exercise up which is why I use these different types of exercises.
Fat Fighting Foods Review
So cool! There are actually foods that can help you lose weight by eating them. We're always talking about the foods we shouldn't eat, so it's really cool to talk about some of the foods we should be eating for once!
Top Seret Fat Loss Secret Review
I haven't read this but it does look very interesting! I'm not really sure what to think about it!
Wedding Day Diet Review
This diet is aimed at people who are are getting married! I think it's neat that there are diets like this for such a specific group of people. I haven't tried this one either, as I'm not getting married! (I'm already married!)
Fit Yummy Mummy Review
This is a cool diet that is aimed at new mothers who want to get back to their pre-pregnancy fitness level. I haven't had a child yet but I'm sure that when I do I will check this out!
Carb Rotation Diet Review
Carbs, carbs, carbs! Do you remember back when nobody ever said the word "carb" ?
Combat The Fat Review
This looks a little too intense for me! But if the "bootcamp" thing appeals to you, this might be a great fitness guide.
Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle Review
I haven't read this one either, but I've heard a lot of great things about it!
yayfood.com Review
I just joined this site last month. It's really cool! And it's less than $20/month so it's much cheaper than some of the similar sites out there.
