I love buying in bulk, things on sale, stock up stuff. So it's great to be able to find different uses for things you have on hand. We all have coffee filters lying around. Even if you don't drink coffee, you probably have some lying around from the time you HAD to buy because company was coming.

Great for you wine enthusiasts. If your attempt at opening the bottle results in floating pieces of cork, just pour the wine through a coffee filter, the filter will catch the pieces.
You can use coffee filters as a sub for cheesecloth. Bunch up your herbs or anything you want to cook in your soup, wrap in twine and remove before serving. Works great.

Make a snowflakes, simply fold the coffee filter in half and make different cuts into it, unfold it and you have a snowflake.
Make a rainbow butterfly. You dip the filter in various colored water and you take a pipe cleaner and wrap around the center after it is dried and the ends stick up to look like antennae.
Make flowers from coffee filters with petals of all different colors. Just soak your coffee filters in dishes of water and food coloring and let them dry. Cut out petal shapes from the coffee filter and glue them together in the center
You can use coffee filters for colorful backgrounds in scrap booking. Just color your coffee filters.. Cut your colored coffee filters into interesting shapes and glue them onto your scrapbook page as a background. You can even write on the colored coffee filters with markers.
