The Weighmax Digital Kitchen Bowl Scale comes with a detachable bowl so that it can be used to measure food and also parcels and other items (remove the bowl and place the parcel on the scale). It's a sensitive scale - the lowest amount it can measure is 0.1 ounce (1 gram) and maximum capacity 11 pounds (5 kg). It has a "tare" function that automatically eliminates the weight of the bowl when weighing food. It has a backlit LCD display that is removable.

One of the best things about this scale is that it is powered by standard AA batteries - which means they are easy to replace at low cost. This product is made in France.

The Soehnle Digital Kitchen Scale is a sleek modernistic scale (much like it's stable mate the Soehnle Flip Digital Scale) with a capacity of 9 pounds. It can weigh food as small as 0.05 ounces (it also measures in grams and kilos). It is powered by a 1.3V lithium battery, which is included.

This is a designer object with a brushed silver finish and will suit high-tech kitchens. It used to retail at $90 when it first came out, but now sells for about a third of the price.

The NewLine Space Saver Digital Glass Kitchen Scale can be wall-mounted or placed on a counter top. It has a large digital display that has a 24 hour clock and timer, and thermometer, as well as providing weight readings. The capacity is 3 kg (7 pounds). Food is weighed on the glass platform which is 6 inches in diameter.

This scale is great if you don't have a lot of space on your kitchen counter.
